Box Score BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team fought off Ohio Valley Saturday night for a 4-1 victory at Sports Stadium in non-conference action.
 
Bloomsburg (4-3) was first on the board, at 5:55, with a header by Anthony Manero (Richboro/Council Rock North).  He was assisted on a pass from Nate Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro).  The goal marked Manero's team leading third goal of the season.
 
Bryce Shaffer (Gettysburg/Gettysburg) scored the following two goals for the Huskies.  His first was a breakaway opportunity in the 17th minute, where he found the back of the net.  It was his first of the season.
 
For BU's third goal Shaffer headed the ball into the back of the net off a pass from Conrad at 51:05.  Both Shaffer's goals and Conrad's assists were their second of the night, and second of the season.
 
Bloomsburg's fourth goal was a breakaway opportunity for Spencer Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) set up by Stephen Pieri (Chalfont/Central Bucks South) at 67:18.  Spencer Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) has two goals on the season and marked Pieri's first assist.
 
The Fighting Scots (0-6) scored their only goal in the 64th minute off a shot from Oladele Olaewe, his first of the season.
 
The Huskies controlled the ball for a majority of the game outshooting the Fighting Scots 20-3.  BU tallied 12 corner kicks in the match while OVU had none.
 
Bloomsburg returns to action Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Chestnut Hill at 7:00 p.m.
