Box Score INDIANA—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team dropped a 5-2 decision to Indiana (PA) in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Saturday.
The Huskies (4-5 overall, 2-4 PSAC) were first on the board when
Brooke Mohney (Bigler/Clearfield) rolled a shot past the IUP goalie in the second minute of the match.
The Crimson Hawks (6-3-2, 3-3-1) answered back seven minutes later to tie the score. IUP then got the first two goals of the second half to go up 3-1.
Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland) scored BU's second goal off a penalty kick at the 56:40 minute mark to make the score 3-2.
IUP pulled away a minute later with a goal by Brittney Kuhns from Tonya Fabian. The Crimson Hawks scored the final goal of the match with 66:19 on the clock.
Danielle Fiorelli (Warrington/Villa Joseph Marie) made three saves in goal for the Huskies.
IUP outshot BU, 15-9, but the Huskies held an advantage in corner kicks, 7-3.
Bloomsburg continues PSAC play at Slippery Rock Wednesday, Oct. 3 with a 1:00 p.m. start time.
