MILLERSVILLE—
Fran Miller (Doylestown/Central Bucks East)'s goal in the fifth minute of overtime lifted the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team to a 2-1 win over Millersville University in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup on Wednesday. The win was the second straight for the Huskies.

The teams played a scoreless first half with the Marauders holding a 6-3 edge in shots on goal and a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks. Bloomsburg goalie
Bernie Roell (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) and Millersville goalie Zechariah Kruger each made two stops to keep the game 0-0.

Millersville struck first in the game when Jaime Vazquez fed a pass from the baseline to the center box where Andrew Dukes finished the play with the goal.

The game looked like it might go to Millersville before the Huskies tied things up in the 89
th minute of play. With
Miguel Diaz (Doylestown/Central Bucks East) starting the corner kick the ball was directed to Miller in the box. On a scramble Miller fed
Matt Cannon (Wrightstown/Council Rock North) who beat Kruger to tie the game at 1-1 with 1:18 to play.

In the extra session Miller had the first scoring chance when Kruger gathered his header in the 93
rd minute to keep it 1-1. Less than two minutes later, on a free kick by
Anthony Manero (Richboro/Council Rock North), Miller collected the loose ball that was just out of reach of Kruger and banged it home for the win. The goal was the fifth of the season for Miller.

Roell finished with four saves for the Huskies, while Kruger had five for the Marauders.

Bloomsburg improves to 5-8-1, 3-4-1 in the PSAC, while Millersville falls to 7-4-1, 4-2 in the PSAC. Bloomsburg will host Shippensburg on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the team's annual Red Card Cancer game.
