Huskies Fall to Shippenburg in Men's Soccer

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University men's soccer team lost to Shippensburg, 6-0, on Saturday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup. The game was the Huskies annual Red Card Cancer (RCC) game.
 
Shippensburg struck early in the game getting a goal in the second minute of play. On a corner kick Derrick Roy directed the pass to Jonathan DeNicola who passed to Colin McConnell who headed the ball into the goal.
 
The Raiders would add a second goal in the 16th minute then would score four times in the second half to get the win.
 
Before the game Huskies head coach and Red Card Cancer founder Paul Payne received a $1,000 donation from Shippensburg coach Jeremy Spering whose team raised the money in support of the RCC.

The Huskies fall to 5-9-1, 3-5-1 with the loss and host Lock Haven on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7:30 p.m.
