SHIPPENSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team beat Clarion 7-2 on Friday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup at Shippensburg.
 
In doubles action the Huskies won at both number one and three to go up 2-0 in the match. Maddie Graziani (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) and Alyssa Liples (Swoyersville/Holy Redeemer) beat Zelenski and Robinson, 8-4, at number one; while Natalie Greenholt (Hanover/South Western) and Nicole Slagle (Irwin/Penn Trafford) won 8-0 at number three. Clarion scored a win at number two with the team of Bettny and Kennelly beating Erin Reitnauer and Caitlin Flynn (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) 8-3.
 
In singles play Bloomsburg took five of the six matches to get the team win. Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) at number five and Nicole Slagle (Irwin/Penn Trafford) at number six each scored 6-0, 6-1 victories. The win by Tennis was the deciding win of the match.
 
Also earning wins were Graziani at number one who won 6-0, 6-3; with Reitnauer winning 6-3, 6-1 at number three singles and Alyssa Liples (Swoyersville/Holy Redeemer) posting a 6-2, 6-4 win at number four.
 
The Huskies, 1-0, face IUP on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Shippensburg.
