BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team defeated Cheyney 9-0 Sunday in a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division matchup.
 
In doubles the number one team of Nicole Slagle (Irwin/Penn Trafford) and Natalie Greenholt (Hanover/South Western), and the second doubles team of Erin Reitenauer (Whitehall/Whitehall) and Meredith Endy (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin) both defeated their opponents by 8-0 scores.
 
In singles each Bloomsburg player only gave up one set point each.  Aida Diop (Allentown/Emmaus) the reigning PSAC Co-Athlete of the Week won at first doubles with scores of 6-1, 6-0.
 
Caitlin Flynn (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) at second singles and Samantha Smith (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) won their matches with identical scores of 6-0, 6-1.  The third and fourth singles Alyssa Liples (Swoyersville/Holy Redeemer) and Endy also won by identical scores of 6-1, 6-0 for the Huskies.
 
Bloomsburg moves to 5-9 on the season and 3-3 in the PSAC.
