Julia Rios (Millersville/Penn Manor)' goal in the 108th minute lifted the Bloomsburg University women's soccer to a 2-1, double overtime win over Chestnut Hill College in non-conference action on Tuesday.

There was no scoring in the first half of the game despite the Huskies dominating play with a 13-2 advantage in shots on goal and a 4-1 edge in corner kicks.

The Griffins (0-3) took the first lead in the game Marykate McShane fed Carly DiGiovanni from the right to left post who hit the back of the net 55:27 into the game.

Bloomsburg tied the score at 1-1 when Rios scored her first goal of the game in the 60th minute off a corner kick. The score would stay tied at 1-1 through the remainder of regulation despite the Huskies holding a 12-3 edge in shots in the second half of play.

In the first overtime the Huskies
Jamie Vaniver (Holland/Council Rock South) had two shots go wide left, while Rios had one blocked, which sent the game to a second overtime.

In the second overtime
Tara Huber (Orefield/Parkland) had Bloomsburg's first scoring chance with a shot saved by the Griffins goalie Samantha Pauls. Bloomsburg's game winning shot then came when Huber tracked down a ball on the right side and passed to Rios who beat Pauls for the goal.
For Rios the goals were the first two of her Bloomsburg career, while Huber's assist was the 11th of her carer.
