STORYLINE
After splitting their first two conference matches of the season during the weekend at Seton Hill and Pitt-Johnstown, the Huskies men's soccer team returns home Wednesday to face Chestnut Hill in non-conference play. Bloomsburg will seek its first win on home turf after dropping its opener at Sports Stadium to NYIT last week.
LAST TIME OUT
Garrett Latimer (Bethel/Tulpehocken) scored the game's only goal and keeper
Bernie Roell (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) posted the shutout to lead the Huskies to a 1-0 win over Pitt-Johnstown on Saturday. BU held an 11-4 edge in shots on goal during the first half and dominated the second half as well, firing off 16 shots to UPJ's three.
Michael Del Sordi (Scotch Plains, NJ/Scotch Plains-Fanwood) recorded the assist on the Latimer goal.
SCOUTING CHESTNUT HILL
The Griffins are 2-2 on the young season and also won their last match, a 1-0 shutout of CW Post on Sunday. Chestnut Hill was selected to finish 10th in the preseason Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference after finishing 5-12 overall and 3-8 in conference in 2012. senior forward Robert Stocklin leads the Griffins with two of the team's three goals on the season while junior forward Juan Amaya has the other. Offense has been a bit of a struggle as the Griffins have been shut out twice in four matches, but strong play in net by freshman keeper James Jackson (0.72 GAA) has kept Chestnut Hill in every game.
ALL-TIME SERIES
Bloomsburg leads, 4-0-0.
LAST MEETING
(
Box Score) Bloomsburg won over Chestnut Hill on the road, 5-1, on Sept. 25, 2012.

ROELL ADDS TO SHUTOUT TOTAL
With his shutout victory in net vs. Pitt-Johnstown last Saturday,
Bernie Roell (Douglassville/Daniel Boone) now has 11 shutouts for his Huskies career. That again moves him up in the BU record books as he's now tied for second all-time in school history along with Greg Malloch (1979-80) and Kevin Wright (1998-02). The school record for career shutouts is 18.5 set by Keith Cincotta from 1987-90.
LATIMER NETS FIRST CAREER GOAL
The goal scored by
Garrett Latimer (Bethel/Tulpehocken) vs. UPJ was the first of the freshman's career for the Huskies. It was also Latimer's first collegiate shot attempt, leaving him with a 1.000% shot percentage in two game appearances.
