COMPLETE RESULTS


LEWISBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team competed at the Bucknell Invitational on Saturday.
 
In the Blue Singles bracket Natalie Greenholt (Hanover/South Western) dropped a tough match to Danielle Nguyen of Mt. St. Mary's 3-6, 6-3, (10-7), while Erin Reitnauer lost her opening match Nicole Coons of Villanova, 6-1, 6-3.  Greenholt lost to Linley Busby of Villanova in the consolation round, 6-3, 6-3; while Reitnauer lost to Lydia Colvin of Bucknell, 6-0, 6-0, in the consolation round.
 
In the Orange Draw bracket Maddie Graziani (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) beat Elena Vidrascu of Bucknell in an opening round match, 7-6, 6-3, before losing to Mikelle Mancini of Villanova, 6-2, 6-3. Also in the Orange bracket Aida Diop (Allentown/Emmaus) lost to Samantha Schafer of Villanova, 6-0, 6-1. Diop won her first consolation match before falling in the consolation finals to Lizz Rossi of Mt. St. Mary's, 6-0, 6-0.
 
In the White Draw bracket Alyssa Liples (Swoyersville/Holy Redeemer) fell to Erin Benefiel of Mt. St. Mary's, 6-1, 6-0 with Caitlin Flynn (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) losing her first round match, 6-2, 6-4 to Melissa Parks of Bucknell. Liples lost to Allison Kuse of Villanova, 6-1, 6-0 in the consolation round, while Flynn lost to Kelly Smith of Mt. St. Mary's, 6-2, 6-1.
 
In the Gray Draw bracket Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) lost to Hayley Sanzone of Villanova, 6-1, 6-2, while Meredith Endy (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin) fell to Giana Mitchell of Villanova, 6-0, 6-0. Tennis won her first round consolation match 5-7, 6-4, (10-5) over Kayla Barrett of Mt. St. Mary's, while Endy lost her first round consolation match, 6-0, 6-1, to Annie Congnetti of Villanova. The final round match was not played.
 
In the Black draw bracket Nicole Slagle (Irwin/Penn Trafford) beat Isabella Draper of Mt. St. Mary's, 6-1, 6-2, while Samantha Smith (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) lost to Draper, 1-67, 6-3, (10-2).
 
In the doubles North draw Graziani and Liples lost to Smith/Smith of Mt. St. Mary's 8-1 and to Busby/Shafer of Villanova, 8-3 in the consolation bracket. Also, Diop and Tennis lost to Mancini and Kuse of Villanova, 8-1 and to Rossi and Benefiel of Mt. St. Mary's, 8-1.
 
In the doubles South draw Flynn and Reitnauer opened with an 8-4 win over Barrett  and Draper of Mt. St. Mary' s before losing to Brewer and Cognetti of Villanova, 8-1. Endy and Smith lost to Sanzone and Mitchell of Villanova, 8-3, while Greenholt and Slagle lost to Parks and Fox of Bucknell, 8-0. In the consolation round Greenholt and Slagle beat Endy and Smith, 8-1. Greenholt and Slagle then went on to beat Nguyen and D'Agostino of Mt. St. Mary's, 8-6 in the consolation finals.
