becomes the first Huskies coach to win his first four games at the helm of the program.

Senior running back Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) recorded another day for the record books as well – surpassing 6,000 yards for his career with a 205-yard performance on Saturday. The all-time PSAC leader in rushing yards needed just 11 carries to surpass the 200-yard plateau, also running for three touchdowns while hauling in another reception for a score. He finishes the day with 6,116 career rushing yards, moving into 13th all-time in Division II history.

Lock Haven (2-2, 1-1) made things interesting in the early going. The Bald Eagles scored right out of the gate on the first play from scrimmage when quarterback Dillon Mazzoni found Brandon Brader for 73 yards and a touchdown before the game was 15 seconds old.

Bloomsburg immediately answered with a big play of its own, however. Following a 10-yard pass from Tim Kelly (Camp Hill/Cedar Cliff) to Connor Gades (West Chester/Unionville), the Huskies found the end zone on a 64-yard sprint by Quiteh to tie the game.

After the early offensive fireworks, play settled down with the teams exchanging punts. The Huskies defense forced a second consecutive Lock Haven three-and-out before taking a lead they would not relinquish. The hosts were the ones to strike through the air this time as Kelly capped off a four-play, 50-yard drive on a 33-yard connection with Glenn Hutton Jr. (Sicklerville, NJ/Paul VI) for a 14-7 lead.

Bloomsburg scored its third touchdown of the opening period on another 33-yard touchdown pass from Kelly, this time with Quiteh on the receiving end to put the Huskies back into the end zone covering 72 yards in just two plays.

Another Lock Haven three-and-out gave the ball back to the Huskies at the start of the second quarter. Bloomsburg put up another quick six – putting up another touchdown as Quiteh rushed for 67 yards in two plays, including a 61-yard rumble breaking through multiple Lock Haven tackle attempts for his third score of the day.

A 43-yard field goal from Lock Haven's Alex Boumerhi made the score 28-10, but Bloomsburg struck again before intermission. A nine-play, 54-yard drive spanning just over five minutes resulted in another touchdown pass from Kelly to Hutton and a 35-10 lead at the break.

Quiteh picked up where he left off before halftime, rushing three times for 46 yards and his fourth touchdown on the first possession of the second half. Following a Lock Haven punt, Kelly completed a beautifully thrown ball to Hutton on their third touchdown connection of the day to stretch the lead to 39.

Bloomsburg completed the scoring with a defensive tally late in the third quarter when safety Tomas Cabrera (Hanover/Hanover Area) made his third interception of the season. Cabrera took the Mazzoni pass 82 yards the other way for a touchdown, the Huskies' first of the season on defense.

Kelly finished the day by completing 12 of 17 passes for 184 yards and four touchdowns with his favorite target being Hutton, who caught three balls for 67 yards – all touchdowns. Joe Parsnik (Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin) registered his first career 100-yard rushing day with 14 carries for 101 yards. Dai'Shon Munger (Westampton, NJ/Holy Cross) tallied 78 yards on 12 carries.

Larry Webster (Hagerstown, MD/Elkton) posted another dominant afternoon from his defensive end position, racking up his sixth sack of the season along with four tackles and three quarterback hurries. Dylan Spangler (Waynesboro/Waynesboro) and Andrew Harris (Bethlehem/Whitehall) each had seven tackles apiece while Travon Pugh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) made a career-high six stops and a sack. Shawn Mitchell (Nazareth/Nazareth) and Bryan McCall (Lititz/Warwick) also brought down the Lock Haven quarterback to register sacks.

Mazzoni finished with 206 yards passing, completing 14 of 26 attempts. Jesse Hoover made five receptions for 49 yards and James Wilbern hauled in four passes for 72 yards.

Bloomsburg returns to the road for a PSAC crossover contest at Gannon next Saturday at 12 noon.
