BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team will try to make its winning streak an even 10 when it plays host to Lock Haven on Saturday afternoon at Nelson Field House. Fresh off a thrilling 79-77 win at Millersville on Wednesday night, the Huskies are attempting to sweep the season series from Lock Haven after a 66-62 victory at LHU in November.

SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN
Lock Haven will try to snap a three-game losing streak when it travels to Nelson Field House on Saturday afternoon after dropping consecutive games to Millersville (74-47), Cheyney (82-70) and Shippensburg (69-61). Senior Kelsey Ryan led LHU with 12 points and eight rebounds in the loss to Shippensburg at home on Wednesday night. Marrysa Moyer added 12 points and four boards and Hannah Gildea recorded 11 points off the bench.

The Lady Eagles rank 13th in the conference in scoring (65.8 ppg) and 11th in scoring defense (72.9 ppg allowed). Lock Haven has struggled in its shooting from the field, ranking 17th in overall field goal percentage at 37.1% and last in the PSAC in 3-point shooting in both three's made (59) and percentage (23.4%).  Lock Haven holds its own on the glass, owning an overall rebounding margin of +0.5 and has been strong on the offensive boards, ranking fourth in the PSAC with 15.0 offensive rebounds per game.

THE BLOOMSBURG-LOCK HAVEN SERIES
Bloomsburg leads 23-17

The Huskies have won six straight games over Lock Haven with four of those wins coming at Nelson Field House. Bloomsburg and Lock Haven again meet twice in the same season with Lady Eagles joining the PSAC East this season after spending recent years in the Western Division. In this first meeting of the year, the Huskies held on for a 66-62 road victory on Nov. 23. Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) finished with a game-high 21 points while Maggie Borski (Philadelphia/Nazareth Academy) added 14. With Lock Haven trailing by three (65-62) and in possession of the ball with less than 30 seconds to play looking to tie the game, Borski came away with a steal to give the Huskies possession. Following an immediate Lock Haven foul, Borski made one of two shots at the line to give the visitors a two possession lead they would not relinquish over the final 17 seconds. Lock Haven led 28-20 early, but Bloomsburg finished the first half on an 11-1 run to re-take the lead, though the game remained tight throughout. Lock Haven's last win in the series came on Dec. 19, 2007 – a 68-54 victory at Nelson Field House.
