QUICK SIX
-Eddie Mateo (Bethlehem/Freedom) leads the PSAC and is third in the nation in scoring at 14.0 points per game. His 14 rushing touchdowns lead the PSAC and rank third in the country behind Anthony Bilal of Lake Erie (18) and Chris Smith of Upper Iowa (16).

-Bloomsburg is in a three-way tie for the Division II national lead in turnovers gained with 21 along with Harding and Grand Valley State.
-Bloomsburg's +15 turnover margin is best in Division II – only one team across all divisions (FBS, FCS, D-II, D-III) matches that total – Albany (NY) of FCS which also is at +15.
-The Huskies have won the past two games by a combined score of 82-7.
-Bloomsburg has opened the season 6-0 for the fourth straight season and 11th time in program history.

THE GAME
Bloomsburg begins a crucial three-week stretch of the schedule with a trip to rival Kutztown on Saturday afternoon. The gauntlet begins with a much-improved Golden Bears team and continues at home the next two weeks vs. West Chester and East Stroudsburg.

Both the Huskies and Golden Bears have been tremendous in winning the turnover battle this season – Bloomsburg leads the nation with a +15 turnover margin, but Kutztown is nearly as impressive at +12, a total that ranks seventh in Division II.

After going 4-7 a year ago, Kutztown has been rejuvenated under first-year head coach Jim Clements. Though just .500 at 3-3 overall, Kutztown has been extremely impressive at times – KU led 20-0 in the second quarter in the season opener at Slippery Rock before ultimately dropping a 37-26 decision and then dismantled then-No. 20 IUP, 44-7 at home in Week 2. Kutztown couldn't keep the momentum, falling the next week at Gannon (37-28) before scoring easy wins over Cheyney (74-0) and Millersville (54-7). This marks the second consecutive game against a nationally ranked opponent after Kutztown dropped a 29-7 decision vs. No. 10 West Chester last Thursday night at home.

SERIES HISTORY
The upcoming game with Kutztown is the 68th in the series between the two schools, dating back to the first meeting in 1927.  Bloomsburg's record in the previous 67 games is 45-21-1, with a mark of 26-7-1 at home and 19-14 on the road.

NUMBERS TO KNOW
> 8 - Bloomsburg has won eight consecutive road games with their last road setback coming on Nov. 17, 2012 at Shippensburg in the NCAA Playoffs. Bloomsburg lost at Shippensburg twice that year - the last road loss for BU at a site other than Shippensburg was at Kutztown on Nov. 5, 2011.
> 10 - The Huskies' 10 interceptions this year lead the PSAC. Bloomsburg finished last year with 18 interceptions.
> 16 - With the Huskies' 6-0 start, Bloomsburg has assured itself of its 16th consecutive winning season.
> 18 - Entering Week 6, only 18 Division II teams remain unbeaten of which Bloomsburg is one. Only Bloomsburg and West Chester are still unbeaten in the PSAC.
> 19-14 - Bloomsburg is 19-14 all-time at Kutztown.
> 32 - Eddie Mateo (Bethlehem/Freedom) became the sixth player in Huskies history to rush for 30 or more touchdowns in a career with his three scores last week. Now with 32 career rushing touchdowns, Mateo needs one more to tie Mike Johnson (1993-95) for fifth all-time with Marques Glaze (1998-2001) next up with 41.
> 30.6% - Opponents are converting 30.6 percent of third down tries against Bloomsburg this year, which places the Huskies fourth in the PSAC behind Slippery Rock, Gannon and West Chester.
> 57.1% - Huskies opponents have just a 57.1 percent success rate inside the red zone this season (8-for-14, six touchdowns).
>  222 - Eddie Mateo (Bethlehem/Freedom) needs 222 yards to become the eighth Huskies player to rush for 3,000 career yards.

ABOUT KUTZTOWN
• Kutztown has played nationally-ranked teams well this year, leading 20-0 in the second quarter at Slippery Rock in Week 1 before losing 37-26 and then dismantling IUP 44-7 in Week 2 at home
• Scored 26 or more points the first five weeks before falling at home to No. 10 West Chester, 29-7, last Thursday night
• Three Kutztown running backs rushed for more than 100 yards for the first time in Golden Bears history during Week 5 54-7 win at Millersville
• Kutztown ranks fifth in the PSAC in scoring offense at 38.8 points per game and third in scoring defense at 19.5 points allowed per game
• Kutztown quarterback Chad Barton stands third in the PSAC in touchdown passes (18) and has tossed for over 1,500 yards on the season while throwing only three interceptions
• Anthony Kelly is tied third in the PSAC this season in touchdown receptions with eight
• Drake Brumfield is in a four-way tie for second in the PSAC along with Bloomsburg's Donovan Morris (Philadelphia/George Washington) with three interceptions
• Kutztown will dedicate their stadium to alum and NFL Hall of Fame member Andre Reed on Saturday. The 78-year old facility will be renamed University Field at Andre Reed Stadum

RUN, TIM, RUN
Quarterback Tim Kelly (Camp Hill/Cedar Cliff) found no receivers open on a third-and-8 during the opening drive of the second half of the Week 6 win over Millersville, but made a play happen with his legs by sprinting 81 yards down the sidelines for a touchdown. The career-long run by Kelly helped give him a career-high 97 yards rushing on the day – the most rushing yardage in a single game by a Huskies quarterback since Dan Latorre ran for 125 yards on Oct. 25, 2008 at Shippensburg.

Since records were kept beginning with the 1989 season, Kelly's run is the longest by a Huskies quarterback. In fact, only three running plays during that span have been longer – an 87-yard run by Jamar Brittingham in 2007; and 82-yard runs by Franklyn Quiteh (Tobyhanna/Pocono Mountain West) (2013) and Irv Sigler (1997). The previous longest run by a quarterback was a 55-yard scamper by Eric Miller in 1998.

PITCHING A SHUT OUT
The Huskies 41-0 win over Millersville in Week 6 marked the first shut out for the Bloomsburg defense since defeating Shippensburg on the road 21-0 on Oct. 25, 2008.

TO 5,000 AND BEYOND
Redshirt junior quarterback Tim Kelly (Camp Hill/Cedar Cliff) passed a career milestone during the Week 6 win over Millersville as he went over 5,000 yards of total career offense. After that game, he had 4,619 passing yards and 582 rushing yards for a total of 5,201. Entering Week 7 at Kutztown, Kelly needs 86 yards passing to move into seventh place all-time in Huskies history as Jay DeDea (1983-86) is next in line at 4,705 yards.

DEFENSE CONTINUES TO SHINE
Through six weeks of the season, the Huskies are tied for the national lead in turnovers caused with 21. While that number is high, the Huskies still have much work to do in order to reach the team record – the 1995 Huskies caused a school record 42 turnovers. Bloomsburg's defense has generated 40+ turnovers three times since 1983 when records first were kept on the statistic (1988, 1995, 1998). Bloomsburg is well on its way to surpassing last year's total of 27 turnovers caused, however and has already surpassed the 1989, 2002, 2007, 2009 and 2011 teams.

ADDING TO INT TOTALS
Senior cornerback DJ Robinson (Sinking Spring/Conrad Weiser) brought in his second interception of the season Week 6 vs. Millersville – and eighth of his career, easily most on the Huskies currently. Teammate Donovan Morris (Philadelphia/George Washington) had two interceptions in the game, his first career multi-interception game, and now has four for his career to tie with Tomas Cabrera (Hanover/Hanover Area) for second on the team.

STOPPED BY SHIRK
Senior tri-captain Justin Shirk (Harrisburg/Central Dauphin) makes an impact at middle linebacker in each game for the Huskies, leading the team with 47 tackles, 10.5 for loss and five sacks despite only playing in five games this year. His career numbers even more impressive – he enters Week 7 with 319 total career tackles, including 170 solo stops and 34 tackles for loss. Three other Huskies have 100+ career tackles – DJ Robinson (Sinking Spring/Conrad Weiser) (151), Gary Postell (Philadelphia/Bishop McDevitt) (123) and Dylan Spangler (Waynesboro/Waynesboro) (111).

MAKE IT 30
Senior defensive end David McFadden (Allentown/Allentown Central Catholic) continued his impressive streak of longevity in Week 6 vs. Millersville by making his 30th consecutive start, longest currently on the roster. McFadden has played in 40 career games - only one active player has seen action in more games as senior linebacker Dylan Spangler (Waynesboro/Waynesboro) has played in 41 games for the Huskies.

OPPONENT BUTTERFINGERS
Bloomsburg has done an excellent job of forcing fumbles this season as opponents have committed 13 fumbles, losing 11 thus far. That total ties for the national lead in fumble recoveries along with Edinboro and Harding.

THE TREND CONTINUES
The Huskies have scored 14 or more points in 54 straight games, a school record. The previous high was 33 straight from 1994-97.

CLOSING THE DEAL
The Huskies are 14-0 under head coach Paul Darragh when leading at halftime and 15-0 when leading after three quarters.
