Jacob Pesarcik (Whitehall/Whitehall) posted his first career shutout to lead the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Washington Adventist University on Tuesday.

Bloomsburg scored early to put the pressure on the home team getting a goal in the ninth minute. On a corner kick
Nate Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) lofted the ball where Transue came in and flicked the ball to the far post for a 1-0 lead.

The game stayed 1-0 till the 78th minute when Transue lobbed a shot to the upper right of the goal from 18 yards out which found the back of the net.

From there the Huskies defense and Pesarcik kept Washington Adventist from mounting any offensive threats with Pesarcik earning the shutout win.

The win, the fifth straight for the Huskies, improved the team's record to 11-4-2 on the year. It is the most wins for Bloomsburg since the 2002 season and just two wins shy of the school record set back in 1979.

Bloomsburg will close out the regular season on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at Lock Haven before starting PSAC playoffs next week.
