PHILADELPHIA – The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team used a 26-11 run late in the second half to rally from behind and pull away in the final minutes for a 71-59 victory at the University of the Sciences in Bobby Morgan Arena on Sunday afternoon in non-conference play.

Â
Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) hit from long range and another defensive stop led to a bucket from
Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) for a 52-46 Huskies lead. Another three from Kaminski stretched Bloomsburg's advantage to double digits for the first time at 65-55 with 2:50 remaining as the Huskies took control of the contest.
Â
Bloomsburg used hot shooting to take over in the second half, hitting on 14-of-27 shot attempts from the floor after intermission, finishing at over 45 percent for the game (28-62).
Â
The Huskies found success both inside and out on Sunday – Bloomsburg outscored the Sciences 30-14 in the paint while also registering nine shots from beyond the arc after a 191-game streak with at least one 3-pointer was snapped in Tuesday's win over No. 11 Edinboro.
Â
Simmons and Kaminski each had career days with Simmons scoring 17 points with six rebounds and five assists in 38 minutes while Kaminski chipped in with 14 points, also a career-high in scoring.
