StatsSCOUTING CLARIONThe Golden Eagles started the year 0-3 with losses to Charleston (54-43), West Virginia State (68-58) and Pitt-Johnstown (95-84) before scoring a home win over Ursuline, 66-54, on Nov. 23. Clarion is looking to snap another three-game skid, dropping games to Walsh (93-68), Gannon (72-45) and Cal U (72-61).
There have been bright spots for Clarion - senior Hannah Heeter is again playing outstanding, averaging 14.7 points and 11.1 rebounds. Heeter recently reached 1,000 career points in the loss to Cal. The PSAC West freshman of the Year in 2012, she was a second team All-PSAC West pick that year and a first team selection the past two seasons while also starring on the volleyball court where she is a three-time all-region as well as an All-America selection. Junior guard Tania Holmes has also been strong, scoring 20 points or more three times this year including 22 points vs. Cal and a career-best 30 points vs. UPJ.
For the season, Clarion ranks 17th in the PSAC in scoring (60.7 ppg) and 15th in points allowed (72.6 ppg). Despite having one of the PSAC's best rebounders in Heeter, the Golden Eagles are also 14th in rebounding.

SCOUTING UPJPitt-Johnstown runs a high-octane offense built on attack - the Mountain Cats lead the PSAC in scoring by a wide margin at 86.4 points per game while hitting a PSAC-best 10.9 3-pointers per game. UPJ also gives up a lot of points - 81.9 ppg, the most in the conference. In eight games entering this week, the Mountain Cats have scored 80 or more points six times including 90 or more three times. Turnovers have been a weakness for UPJ - at 24.3 per game, the Mountain Cats turn the ball over more than any other PSAC team.
Jasmine Harper ranks second in the PSAC in scoring, averaging 20.1 ppg behind only IUP's Lindsay Stamp (22.1 ppg). Kayla DeCrisicio also maks the most 3-pointers per game in the PSAC at 3.6.
