FactsSCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURGThe Warriors return all five starters from last year's team that reached the PSAC Tournament and finished with a 15-13 overall record. Led by First Team All-PSAC East pick senior forward Jessica Martin (12.5 ppg/8.4 reb in 2013-14), also back are forward Allison Howard (11.3 pts/7.1 reb) and guard Ryann Fiascki (9.1 pts/2.5 reb). In all, 13 letterwinners are back off last year's team. Martin is the only player in the PSAC East with three all-conference awards and is just one of two in the entire PSAC along with Clarion's Hannah Heeter. Thus far in 2014, Fiascki has taken a step forward as one of the PSAC's top players thus far, ranking sixth in scoring at 16.6 points per game and third in field goal percentage at 58.5 percent.
ESU was edged by Shippensburg, 61-53, on the road on Wednesday night to fall to 2-3, 1-2. Fiascki led the way offensively for the Warriors with 16 points.
The Warriors rank 11th in the PSAC in scoring at 68.6 points per game thus far in 2014, but have been strong on the defensive end while giving up only 60.8 points to opponents, ranking fourth in the league in scoring defense.
