Wednesday, Feb. 19 - 5:30 p.m.
Nelson Field House
Bloomsburg, PA

BLOOMSBURG - The Bloomsburg University women's basketball team plays host to West Chester on Wednesday night at Nelson Field House in a battle for first place in the PSAC East. Entering Wednesday, West Chester owns a half-game lead in the division but Bloomsburg owns the head-to-head tiebreaker after an 88-80 victory at WCU last month. With just two games remaining in the regular season after this game, Wednesday's contest will go a long way toward deciding the PSAC East regular season crown.

PLAY 4 KAY
Fans are encouraged to wear pink to Wednesday night's Bloomsburg University basketball games in support of breast cancer research. Any fan who comes to the game and visits the Play for Kay table will be entered in a prize basket giveaway. The table will also have other giveaways and accepting donations to go toward the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.  Also, pink basketballs will be tossed to the crowd throughout both games to raise awareness about the cause.

SCOUTING WEST CHESTER
The Golden Rams enter Nelson Field House on Wednesday hoping to avoid their first back-to-back PSAC East losses of the season after falling at home to Shippensburg, 95-80, on Saturday. In that game, WCU allowed Shippensburg to score a school-record 13 3-pointers, finishing 13-of-27 from beyond the arc. Sophomore Dallas Ely scored a career-high 32 points in the loss, the most by a WCU player since 2004. Ely has enjoyed a breakout season, averaging a PSAC-best 19.6 ppg to power a high octane Golden Rams offense which leads the conference in scoring at 81.9 ppg. West Chester is used to shootouts as the Rams also surrender 74.3 ppg, ranking 14th in scoring defense. Though they surrender a fair amount of points, the Golden Rams are not without strengths defensively – WCU averages a PSAC-high 12.8 steals per game on the year, collecting 309 thefts entering Wednesday.

WCU is also strong on the boards, averaging the most rebounds per game of any team in the PSAC with 45.2, well ahead of second-place Lock Haven's 41.9 rpg.

West Chester has not won the PSAC Eastern Division title since 2009, and has not won it outright since 2003.

THE BLOOMSBURG-WEST CHESTER SERIES
Bloomsburg leads 36-32

The teams split the season series each of the past two years with both teams stealing a game on the other's home court a year ago. West Chester won 65-59 at Nelson Field House last January, but the Huskies have won the past two games in the series – both at WCU's Hollinger Fieldhouse, taking a 64-54 win last year and then a come-from-behind 88-80 victory last month. In that game, Bloomsburg stormed back from a 10-point deficit with 9:28 to play to record the win. Senior Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) poured in a game-high 27 points, also setting a personal best with seven 3-pointers as well as six assists with 19 points coming during the second half. Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) added 17 points, 14 in the second half, and Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) had 14 points and 12 rebounds. Brittany Sicinski scored 21 points for WCU while Dallas Ely tallied 16.
