HUSKIES HOST SENIOR DAY
The Huskies will honor their two seniors,
Brianna Dudeck (Sugarloaf/Hazleton) and
Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) before Wednesday's game. The senior duo has been key to Bloomsburg's tremendous success in recent years as the two have helped the program to four straight 20-win seasons, capturing the PSAC East regular season title each of those years. Bloomsburg has posted a record of 94-21 since Dudeck and Noack suited up in maroon and gold for the first time, good for the sixth-best winning percentage in all of Division II during that time. The duo is approaching the winningest four-year period in school history - the Huskies won 98 games between 1988-92.
SCOUTING KUTZTOWN
The Golden Bears are locked in as the No. 6 seed from the PSAC East in the upcoming PSAC Tournament, locking in on Saturday despite suffering an 81-52 loss to Shippensburg in their last time out. Advia Campbell finished with 11 points, nine rebounds and eight blocks in the game, setting the KU single season record for blocks with 69 swats this year. Kutztown ranks 13th in the PSAC in scoring offense at 65.2 ppg and 11th in scoring defense, allowing 71.6 ppg. Led by Campbell, the Golden Bears rank second in the conference in blocks per game with 4.7, but struggle shooting from the floor – KU ranks 14th in overall field goal percentage (40.0%) and 15th in 3-point percentage (29.0%).
THE BLOOMSBURG-KUTZTOWN SERIES
Bloomsburg leads 63-23
The Huskies have won nine straight games vs. their PSAC East rival Kutztown, including three victories last season. Bloomsburg won at Kutztown, 74-56, last month behind 15 points from
Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights).
Brianna Dudeck (Sugarloaf/Hazleton) added a career-high 13 points off the bench and
Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) tallied 12 points. Advia Campbell led Kutztown with 14 points. Last year, the Huskies started their march to the PSAC Championship with an 81-52 win over Kutztown at Nelson Field House in the conference quarterfinals. The last Kutztown win in the series came on its home floor in the first round of the 2010 PSAC Tournament when the Golden Bears registered a 74-67 overtime win on March 2, 2010.
