BLOOMSBURG – Brianna Dudeck (Sugarloaf/Hazleton) made Senior Night one to remember on Wednesday by scoring a career-high 26 points to lead the Bloomsburg University women's basketball team to its 16th straight victory, closing out the regular season with an 88-68 triumph over visiting Kutztown at Nelson Field House.

The 14th-ranked Huskies (23-3, 14-2 PSAC East), with the top seed from the Eastern Division already in tow before the game began, kept the nation's fourth-longest active winning streak alive with a strong second half.

Kutztown (9-17, 6-10) kept things tight during the first half, taking a four-point lead at 25-21 with 7:17 to play in the opening period, and had tied the score at 38 on foul shots from Kelsey Watson with 1:15 left in the half. A steal by Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) resulted in a Dudeck layup shortly before the buzzer, allowing the Huskies to go to halftime with a 40-38 advantage.

The Huskies opened the second half on a 14-4 run capped by a 3-pointer from Dudeck for a 54-42 lead at the 15:56 mark and never relinquished control from there. Kutztown closed to within 10 at 56-46 following a layup from Watson, but Dudeck responded with a traditional 3-point play to stretch the lead to 13 once more and Bloomsburg would never lead by fewer than 10 points the rest of the way, stretching the lead to as many as 24 points down the stretch.

Dudeck, who picked up her sixth start of the season, finished the night by shooting at an 8-for-12 clip from the floor as well as 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and 8-of-9 at the foul line. The senior guard also had five rebounds, three assists and three steals in 30 minutes of play.

Three other Huskies worked their way into double figures as well – Ford, the reigning PSAC East Athlete of the Week, tallied 15 points, six rebounds, six steals and three assists in another stat-stuffing performance. Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) posted 14 points, eight rebounds and four blocks while Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) finished with 10 points and four steals.

Senior Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) recorded eight points and four assists.

Kutztown spread its scoring around, placing four players in double figures led by Kelsey Watson's 15 points off the bench.

The Huskies shot 50 percent from the field (31-62) and outrebounded Kutztown by a 36-31 margin, also forcing the Golden Bears into 23 turnovers.

After earning the top seed from the East with their fourth consecutive divisional title, the Huskies now will enjoy a first round bye before hosting an opponent to be determined on Tuesday, March 4 inside Nelson Field House at 7 p.m. Bloomsburg will play the winner of the East Stroudsburg (14-12, 9-7) at Millersville (15-11, 10-6) game scheduled for Saturday afternoon. The Huskies swept the season series with ESU and split with Millersville. Millersville earned hosting rights to that first round matchup, locking into the No. 4 seed from the East with a 74-63 win at Shippensburg on Wednesday.
