BRISTOL, TN—The Bloomsburg University softball team dropped a pair of games to King University of Bristol, Tn on Friday losing by scores of 3-0 and 3-2.

In game one the Huskies managed just three hits, all singles, and did not get a runner to second base.
Taylor Parker (Dewart/Warrior Run) was the tough-luck loser for Bloomsburg allowing just two fifth inning runs and giving up only six hits.

In the nightcap the Huskies trailed 3-0 going to the fifth inning when it began to chip away at the lead of the Tornado. In the fifth
Chrissy Belko (Old Forge/Old Forge) doubled and moved to third on a throwing error to lead off the inning. Belko then came into score on a sacrifice fly by
Lea Rehm (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg).

Bloomsburg made it 3-2 in the sixth inning. With two outs
Erika Yanora (Tunkhannock/Tunkhannock) singled and scored on
Sarah Bertoni (Nanticoke/Greater Nanticoke Area)'s triple to left center field. King pitcher Hannah Light got a line out to shortstop to end the threat.

In the top of the seventh the Huskies did get a base runner when
Kayla McHale (Dillsburg/Northern) singled with two outs, but a ground out ended the game.

Mandi Black (Huntington Mills/Northwest Area) suffered the loss for Bloomsburg, while McHale had two hits to lead the offense.

The Huskies, 7-4, open PSAC East play on Saturday in Bristol facing East Stroudsburg for a doubleheader at 11 a.m.
