BLOOMSBURG--The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team captured the PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Eastern Division title with a 9-0 win over Kutztown University on Tuesday afternoon. With the win the Huskies clinch a first round bye in the upcoming PSAC playoffs.

The Huskies jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles with the number one team of Maddie Graziani (Woodbury, NJ/Woodbury) and Caitlin Flynn (Cedar Grove, NJ/Cedar Grove) winning 8-5, while the team of Natalie Greenholt (Hanover/South Western) and Aida Diop (Allentown/Emmaus) at number two picked up an 8-3 win. For Greenholt and Diop it was their seventh win of the season. The Huskies got their third win at three douubles from the team of Nicole Slagle (Irwin/Penn Trafford) and Erin Reitenauer (Whitehall/Whitehall), 8-3.

In singles play Diop, the reigning PSAC East Athlete of the Week, won in straight sets at number two, 6-4, 6-0 for the team's fourth point, while Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) picked up the deciding point with a win at number five, 6-0, 6-3. Flynn also won in straight sets, 7-5, 6-1, while Graziani, Reitenauer and Alyssa Lipples won three-set thrillers to lead the Huskies to the shutout win. Graziani won 6-3, 3-6, 10-2 at No. 1, while Reitenauer won 6-3, 2-6, 10-4 at No. 4 and Liples won 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 at No. 6.

Bloomsburg, 8-4, 6-0 PSAC East, is back in action this weekend hosting the Bloomsburg Duals on Saturday and Sunday.
