HTML BOX SCOREGREENSBURG—The Bloomsburg University field hockey team scored three times in the first six and half minutes of the game on its way to a 4-2 win over Seton Hill on Tuesday in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup.
Bloomsburg wasted little time getting on the board scoring just 1:09 into the game when Nikke Gattone scored off a
Tali Wehner (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) assist.
The in the fifth minute
Sam Peters (Harrisburg/Mifflin County) hit the back of the cage for the sixth time this season with
Meagen Hill (Gettysburg/Gettysburg) picking up the assist.
The Huskies scored for the third time at the 6:37 mark when
Stephanie Halsted (Fairfax Station, VA/South County) scored on a
MacKenna Mahan (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) assist.
Seton Hill cut into the lead scoring on a penalty corner in the 14
th minute to make it 3-1.
In the first half the Huskies dominated the action holding a 7-1 edge in shots and a 9-1 edge in penalty corners.
Early in the second half the Huskies made it a 4-1 game when Jackie Shrager scored on a penalty corner with Gattone and Peters getting the assist on the penalty corner.
Seton Hill wrapped up the scoring with a goal in the 51
st minute.
Bloomsburg goes to 7-7, 3-3 in the PSAC, with the win. The Huskies host top-ranked Millersville on Saturday at 12 p.m.
