STORYLINEThe Huskies will be playing in their final regular season home game today marking the final home appearance for seniors

Gabby Nisiotis (Macungie/Emmaus). For Millersville, the Marauders are coming off a 1-0 loss to East Stroudsburg, their first loss of the season.

LAST TIME OUTThe Bloomsburg field hockey team scored three times in the first six and half minutes of the game on its way to a 4-2 win over Seton Hill on Tuesday in a PSAC matchup.

Millersville dropped its first game of the season on Tuesday falling to East Stroudsburg, 1-0, which scored just 2:10 into the contest. The goal snapped the Marauders scoreless streak over 11 games that included nine consecutive shutouts and 720:28 of playing time. The Marauders thought they had the game-tying goal near the end of the game, but it was waved off by the officials.

LAST YEARIn 2014 the Huskies lost twice to Millersville by scores of 1-0 (OT) and 3-0. In game two, Katelyn Zapp scored twice for the Marauders. Zapp scored just 1:08 into the game on an assist from Lauren Gerhart and then added a goal with Alicia Youtz getting the assist. Gerhart added a goal of her own in the 10th minute of play with Hannah Whitman getting credit for the assist. Bloomsburg's best scoring threat came in the 49th minute when the Huskies earned six corners in a row but the Millersville defense surrendered just three shots, one of which was saved.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURGSam Peters (Harrisburg/Mifflin County) leads the Huskies in scoring with six goals and one assist for 13 points, while
Whitney Kowski (Washington, NJ/Warren Hills Regional) is second with five goals for 10 points.
Stephanie Halsted (Fairfax Station, VA/South County) is third in points with seven on two goals and three assists with
Eleanor Kirby (Garnet Valley/Garnet Valley) and
MacKenna Mahan (Selinsgrove/Selinsgrove) tied for fourth in points with six. In goal
Lindsay Cassel (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin) has a 1.38 goals against average with 105 saves and an .840 saves percentage. As a team the Huskies have scored 28 and allowed 20 goals on the year.

SCOUTING MILLERSVILLEThe Marauders are led in scoring this season by Aliza Mizak with 15 points on seven goals and one assist, while Margaret Thowart and Olivia Hershey are tied for second with 10 each. Thowart has three goals and four assists, while Hershey is second with four goals and two assists. In goal Millersville has used both Samantha Rumler (0.12 goals against average) and Kylee Blair (0.80 goals against average. As a team Millersville has scored 28 goals and allowed six.
