Women's Soccer Team Wins 10th Game of the Year

HTML BOX SCORE

LAFAYETTE HILL, PA—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team won its 10th game of the season with a 1-0, non-conference, win over Chestnut Hill College on Wednesday. The game was played in a steady rain.

The Huskies, ranked 10th in the Atlantic Region by the NSCAA, controlled play through the game holding a 22-2 edge in shots on goal, while allowing just one shot in each half defensively. Chestnut Hill goalie Kayla Reno made six first half saves to keep the game scoreless at the break.

In the second half Bloomsburg finally broke through in the 56th minute when Toula DeLeon (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) fed Allie Camp (Beavertown/Midd-West), who pushed it through the legs of Reno from 25-yards out, to make it 1-0.

The 10 wins this season for the Huskies is the first time since 2011 that the team has reached double-digits in victories.

Bloomsburg, in a battle for a PSAC playoff berth, will host Clarion in the regular season finale on Saturday at 1 p.m.
