th minute of play to lift the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team to a 3-2 win over Slippery Rock on Saturday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half in which the Huskies outshot the Rock, 9-5, Bloomsburg finally got on the board in the 50
th minute of action when
Josh Smith (Mechanicsburg/Mechanicsburg) played the ball off a clear and the followed it in and scored.

The Rock rallied and scored twice in just over 40 seconds in the 64
th minute to take a 2-1 lead.

Bloomsburg came back and tied the score at 2-2 when Izzo directed a free kick to
Anthony Cerda (Budd Lake, NJ/Mount Olive) who headed the ball past the Rock goalie.

In the overtime Bloomsburg's
Mike Bamford (Doylestown/Central Bucks West) had the first shot on goal with the Rock's Steve Rerick making the save. Slippery Rock came back with its first shot on goal in the OT period with the Huskies
Jared Ott (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) making the save. Finally, on a direct kick, Izzo hit the upper left side of the net from 35-yards out to give Bloomsburg the win.
