HTML BOX SCORESHIPPENSBURG—The Bloomsburg University field hockey dropped its regular season finale on Saturday falling to Shippensburg, 3-0, in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) game. The Huskies will begin the PSAC playoffs on Tuesday back at Shippensburg at 4 p.m.
The Raiders scored twice, just about a minute apart, early in the contest to take control of the game. The second of the two goals came on a penalty stroke.
Shippensburg put the game out of reach scoring just 30 seconds into the second half of play. For the game the Raiders held a 12-2 edge in shots and 7-2 advantage in penalty corners.
Bloomsburg is now 9-9, 5-5 in the PSAC, while Shippensburg is 13-4, 7-3 in the PSAC.
