BLOOMSBURG—Rachel Yenney (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley)'s first goal of the season was the only score in a 1-0 win for the Bloomsburg University women's soccer team over Mansfield University Wednesday night at Steph Pettit Stadium.
 
The game's only goal in the 79^th minute came on a crossing pass from Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic) to Stephanie Tuccio (Exton/Bishop Shanahan) who touched the ball to Yenney who knocked it in.
 
Bloomsburg held the edge in shots, 6-1, and corner kicks, 6-1,in the opening 45 minutes, but Mansfield goalie Rachel Fox made three saves to keep the game scoreless.
 
In the second half the Huskies continued to fire away getting off 13 shots to just two for the Mountaineers.
 
In the final 10 minutes of play the Huskies back line allowed just one shot on goal.
 
Earning the win in goal was freshman Devon Haviland (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) who had three saves on the night.
 
Bloomsburg is 6-4-1, 5-4-1 in the PSAC, while Mansfield falls to 3-6-1, 2-6-1 in the PSAC. The Huskies host Edinboro on Saturday at 12 p.m.
