A LOOK BACK ...
The Huskies opened the 2015-16 season with a pair of road non-conference victories against New Haven on November 13 and against Goldey-Beacom on November 17. Bloomsburg improved to 3-2 lifetime against New Haven after a come-from-behind 76-72 win. The Huskies moved to 3-1 in the all-time series against Goldey-Beacom with a 71-54 win.

VS. NEW HAVEN (11-13) ...
Bloomsburg trailed by as many as 18 points in the second quarter and were still trailing by 11 with just over two minutes remaining in the third before mounting a comeback. Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area), playing in her first game in a Bloomsburg uniform, poured in a game-high 24 points, pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds, and dished out a game-high six assists. She went 8-of-16 from the field and 8-of-8 at the free-throw line. Junior Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) added 18 points while redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) (12) and junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) (11) also finished in double figures.

VS. GOLDEY-BEACOM (11-17) ...
Both teams got off to a sluggish start before the Huskies pulled away down the stretch and posted a 71-54 victory over the Lightning. Bloomsburg outscored Goldey-Beacom 23-15 in the fourth quarter to extend a nine-point lead after three. Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) paced the Huskies with 17 points and 10 rebounds while four other players registered double-digit points - Junior Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) (13), redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) (13), junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) (11), and freshman Alyssa Mack (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic) (10).

LAST MEETINGS ...
Bloomsburg earned a hard-fought 71-63 victory at Nelson Field House against Seton Hill on January 3, 2015. Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) scored 22 points, going 14-of-14 at the free throw line. She added six rebounds and six assists in the win. Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) added 16 points while Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) tied a career-high with six blocked shots. Kelly Brennan led three Griffins in double figures with 15 points. Bloomsburg was outrebounded 43-32 but went 18-of-20 at the foul line and forced 26 Seton Hill turnovers.

The last meeting against California (PA) occurred in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Championship when the Vulcans ended the Huskies season with a 72-69 overtime victory. Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) scored a team-high 19 points while Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) added 18 points, nine rebounds, and five assists. Erica Maciejewski (Red Lion/Red Lion) chipped in with nine points and nine rebounds. Tournament MVP Miki Glenn of California led the Vulcans with 23 points. Nine days earlier, California knocked off Bloomsburg, 63-48, in the PSAC Semifinals.

SCOUTING SETON HILL ...
The Griffins enter with a 2-1 overall record, losing their season opener against Chowan, 60-56, before rattling off back-to-back victories against Virginia State (59-56) and Salem International (65-52). No player is averaging in double figures through the first three games of the season as Jenna Kaufman leads Seton Hill by averaging 9.0 points per contest. Mariah Wells is averaging 7.7 points per game while Hannah Laslo averages 6.3 points and a team-high 6.3 rebounds.

SCOUTING CALIFORNIA ...
The Vulcans enter with a 2-1 record (not including Saturday's action) and a 1-0 mark in PSAC West play after posting a 65-63 win at Pitt-Johnstown on Wednesday. California opened the season with a 76-67 win over Notre Dame (OH) on November 14 but then dropped an 88-65 decision at West Liberty the following afternoon. Miki Glenn has scored at least 20 points in all three games to date and is averaging a team-high 25.0 points per game. Seairra Barrett has posted double-digit rebounds in all three games and leads the squad with 12.0 rebounds per game while also pouring in 14.0 points per contest. Glenn also averages 6.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game thus far. Three-point shooting has been a struggle early as the Vulcans have only made five triples through the first three games of the season (5-of-22).

DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK ...
Bloomsburg earned a season-opening 76-72 victory at New Haven, the defending East Region Champions, on Friday night, November 13. The Huskies trailed, however, for a majority of the contest, falling behind by as many as 18 points with 9:01 left in the second quarter and still trailed by double digits with 2:38 left in the third quarter before mounting a comeback. The Huskies outscored the Chargers, 27-16, in the fourth quarter to come away with the win.

HOPKINS NAMED PSAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK ...
Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area), playing in her first career game at Bloomsburg, scored 24 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, and dished out six assists in the Huskies' season-opening victory at New Haven to be named the PSAC East Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Hopkins was 8-of-16 from the field and 8-of-8 at the free throw line in the four-point win over the Chargers.

DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE ...
Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) could not have asked for a better start to her Bloomsburg University career. In her first game at New Haven, Hopkins posted 24 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists in the Huskies' 76-72 win. She followed that performance up with 17 points, 10 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and three steals in the 71-54 win at Goldey-Beacom. She is the only Huskies' player to record a double-double so far this season and was the first player since Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) (16 points, 11 rebounds) turned the trick against Shepherd on March 14, 2015.

NO KLUNK-ER HERE ...
While Hopkins has been getting much of the spotlight, junior Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) has put together a fine start to her 2015-16 season. She ranks second on the team in scoring (15.5), third on the team in rebounding (6.5), and second on the team in assists (4.0). She is also tied for fourth in the conference in field goal percentage, knocking down 12 of her first 18 shot attempts for a 66.7% clip through the first two games. Last season, Klunk averaged 7.9 points per game, 3.7 rebounds, and just under 2.0 assists.

ROSS CHIPPING IN ...
Junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) is taking advantage of a significant increase in playing time through the first two games of the season. After averaging 1.0 points and 1.1 rebounds as a freshman, her game averages improved to 1.2 and 1.7 respectively last season as a sophomore. However, she has started the first two games of the season in 2015-16 and has responded by ranking fourth on the team in scoring at 11.0 points and fourth on the team in rebounds at 5.5 per contest. She scored a career-high 11 points in the win at New Haven and then tied her career-high with 11 more in the victory at Goldey-Beacom. She is shooting 47.1% from the field while leading the team with three triples in seven tries.

HUSKIES NINTH IN ATLANTIC REGION ...
Bloomsburg enters the contest ranked ninth in the Atlantic Region according to the latest Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) media poll released on Monday. The Huskies received nine votes in the regional poll.

Bloomsburg is also receiving votes in the first installment of the D2SIDA Division II National media poll which was released last week. The Huskies received 25 votes in the first national poll of the season. However, this week, Bloomsburg dropped out of the national poll despite starting the season with a 2-0 record.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE ...
The Huskies will play their first home game of the 2015-16 season when they host the University of the Sciences on Sunday, November 29. Tip-off from Nelson Field House is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. That contest will start a string of four consecutive, and six of the next seven, home games for Bloomsburg.
