Kayla McHale (Dillsburg/Northern) went a combined 4-8 with four RBI to lead the Bloomsburg University softball team to a sweep of its doubleheader with Coker College by scores of 3-0 and 8-0 on Friday.Â

In game one
Taylor Parker (Dewart/Warrior Run) tossed a four-hit shutout to extend her scoreless streak to 14 innings. Parker, who shutout #18 Indianapolis on Wednesday, allowed just four singles in the game, while striking out four.

The Huskies got all the runs they would need in the top of the fourth inning. With one out
Caitlin O'Connor (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) singled and later moved to second when Parker reached on an error.
Lindsay Nemeth (Drums/Marian Catholic) then came in to pinch-run for O'Connor and was promptly erased at third when Erica Yanora reached on a fielder's choice.

Natalie Quinlan (Drexel Hill/Upper Darby) then delivered a singled to center with Parker scoring.
Lea Rehm (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) then followed with a single to center scoring Yanora and making it 2-0.

Bloomsburg added to its lead in the top of the fifth.
Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) singled to lead off the inning.
Kayla McHale (Dillsburg/Northern) then tripled to center scoring Carcasses for a 3-0 lead. After a ground out O'Connor reached base on an error by the center fielder with McHale coming in to score the fourth run.

McHale finished the game 2-4 with an RBI, while Quinlan was 2-3 with an RBI.
In game two the Huskies
Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa/Southern Columbia) scattered six hits and struck out three to earn the win.

Bloomsburg got on the board in the top of the second scoring three times. With one out
Sarah Bertoni (Nanticoke/Greater Nanticoke Area) singled and moved to second on a ground out by Tomaschik.
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie/Pennridge) then reached on an error with Bertoni moving to third. After
Holly Peacock (Williamsport/Jersey Shore) walked to load the bases McHale delivered a single scoring Bertoni and Mayhew and making it 2-0. Quinlan then doubled with Peacock coming in to score.

The Huskies added to their lead in the top of the fifth. Quinlan walked leading off the inning with
Abbey Remley (Berwick/Berwick Area) coming in to pinch run. Remley moved to second and then third on two passed balls. Parker then walked to put runners on first and third. After Rehm reached on a fielder's choice, with Remley cut down at the plate, Bertoni singled scoring Parker with the fourth run. Tomaschick then walked to load the bases for Mayhew who singled to center scoring Bertoni and Rehm to give Bloomsburg a 6-0 lead.

The Huskies tacked on a couple of insurance runs in the top of the seventh when Peacock doubled home two runs making the final 8-0.

Bertoni was 3-4 with three runs scored and one RBI, while McHale was 2-4 with two RBI.

Bloomsburg goes to 5-3 with the sweep. The Huskies play Sunday at Catawba College starting at 10 a.m.
