LAST TIME OUT
> Bloomsburg advanced in the PSAC Tournament with a 64-54 win over Kutztown in the quarterfinals on Tuesday night at home.

> The Huskies led by 11 at halftime and by as much as 15 early in the second half, but a 20-0 run from Kutztown gave KU a 45-40 lead with 10:57 to go.

> Bloomsburg picked up a needed lift from seniors Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) and Taylor Maldonado (Stroudsburg/Allentown Central Catholic) who scored 18 and 17 points respectively, including a number of key 3-pointers to bring the Huskies back to life.

> Ford's four 3-pointers were a new career high.

> Erica Maciejewski (Red Lion/Red Lion) played a season high 25 minutes and pitched in eight points and eight rebounds, also a season best on the boards.

> Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) tied a career high five assists.

SCOUTING CALIFORNIA (PA)
The Vulcans have been balanced in their attack this season as four players average double-figure scoring, led by All-PSAC West First Team selection Miki Glenn who averages 15.2 ppg. Emma Mahady (14.0 ppg, Kaitlynn Fratz (13.2 ppg) and Irina Kukolj (10.3 ppg) all also add strong scoring threats for Cal U.

Though the Vulcans can do damage offensively, ranking fourth in scoring at 72.9 points per game (just a tenth of a point ahead of Bloomsburg's 72.8 ppg), Cal can also be stifling defensively – the Vulcans are second only to Bloomsburg in points allowed, surrendering just 59.0 points per game on average. In fact, Cal has allowed 70 points just twice this season – losses to Findlay (74-66 on Nov. 25) and Gannon (71-63 on Jan. 22).

Cal is also strong on the boards, picking up an average of 14.5 offensive rebounds on the year, ranking third behind West Chester (16.3) and Gannon (15.2). Emma Mahady and Seairra Barrett lead the way on the glass with 5.6 and 5.4 rebounds per game on average.

The Vulcans are led by head coach Jess Strom, the PSAC West Coach of the Year in her fourth season at the helm. She was a three-time All-Big Ten selection while a player at Penn State, finishing her career as only one of four Nittany Lions to register 1,000 points and 750 assists in a career. She also ranks among Penn State's all-time leaders with 310 steals and 191 3-pointers.

LAST MEETING / SERIES HISTORY
California leads 11-9

Bloomsburg won the only meeting of the year between the two squads, 68-56, on Jan. 4 behind a strong second half including runs of 9-0 and 13-4 to erase a seven-point Cal lead during the opening period. Four Huskies scored in double figures led by Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights)'s double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds while Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) and Camden Boehner (Gettysburg/Gettysburg Area) each tallied 13 points and Taylor Maldonado (Stroudsburg/Allentown Central Catholic) registered 11. Cal's Miki Glenn led all scorers with 22 points for the Vulcans. A difference for the Huskies was scoring 21 points off Cal turnovers, while also shooting 52 percent from the floor and holding Cal to just under 34 percent.

The Huskies have won the past three meetings with the Vulcans. In the last meeting prior to this year, Catherine Noack (Bethlehem/Liberty) lifted the Huskies to victory on Dec. 19, 2012 with a layup as the clock ticked down to 4.2 seconds – a game that was played at Penn State-Fayette due to a power outage on the California campus. On that day, the Vulcans rallied from a 13-point deficit with under 12 minutes to play, tying the game at 61 with 10 seconds remaining after the Huskies had led since the midway point of the first half. Three current Huskies saw time that day – Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) had three points and three rebounds while Taylor Kaminski (Philadelphia/Archbishop Wood) and Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) also logged minutes off the bench.

Cal's last win in the series came in the 2011 PSAC semifinals at Nelson Field House when the Vulcans held on for a 77-71 win before falling to Edinboro in the championship game. BU started the game on a 15-4 run, but the Vulcans used a 17-4 run to start the second half to take control.
