STORYLINEThe Huskies, 16-8, are rolling and are looking to continue their four game winning streak when they regionally-ranked Kutztown on Friday and West Chester on Saturday. Â Bloomsburg is also ranked ninth in the first NCAA Atlantic Regional poll of the year.
The Huskies swept a twinbill with Lock Haven on Wednesday winning 5-4 in both games in walk-off fashion.
Sarah Bortner (Glenville/South Western) drove in the game winner in the opener in the bottom of the 11
th and also earned the win with nine innings of one-run relief. In game two
Erica Keen (Gordonville/Bishop Shanahan) drove in the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie/Pennridge)'s bat has been heating up as she blasted a home run and a double in Lock Haven doubleheader.
Sarah Bertoni (Nanticoke/Greater Nanticoke Area) and Holy Peacock also hit home runs in the game two on Wednesday. Â
Taylor Parker (Dewart/Warrior Run) has done an excellent job in the circle this season and is 8-1 with a 1.39 ERA.
In the last week Mayhew and Bertoni are each hitting over .400 with Mayhew at .444 (8-18) with two homers, while Bertoni is at .400 (8-20) with two homers and four RBI.
SCOUTING KUTZTOWNThe Golden Bears (ranked 4
th in NCAA Atlantic Region) are 26-11 overall after a sweep of Chestnut Hill on Wednesday.
Blayse Cholish is leading the way for the Golden Bears as she has accumulated 35 hits on the season. Savannah Nierintz has been pitching well for the Golden Bears as she holds a 16-3 record and a 1.42 ERA this season. Kutztown has a team combined ERA of 1.82, only sitting behind Bloomsburg in the PSAC.
Bloomsburg and Kutztown split a doubleheader this past Sunday. Each team earned a win by shutout with the Huskies getting a 2-0 victory and Kutztown coming back with a 3-0 win.
SCOUTING WEST CHESTERWest Chester comes in a roll having won nine of itst 10 games to imrpove to 31-11, 15-5 in the PSAC East. The Golden Rams are ranked fifth in the regional rankings. West Chester is coming off a sweep of Mansfield on Tuesday winning 9-0 in five innings and 5-0.Amanda Houck (14-4) tossed a complete-game, two-hitter in the opener that lasted just five innings, after West Chester painted nine runs on the board. Sarah Derstine hit her third home run of the season and recorded three RBI while Erin Whitman and Erin Quense each went deep as well. The Golden Rams held a 2-0 advantage heading into the top of the fifth when the visitors exploded for seven runs to shorten the contest.Harner (8-7) threw the first five innings of game two and surrendered just one hit while walking two and striking out five. Katie Erb came on and pitched two hitless frames to close out the game. West Chester's pitching in total yielded no runs on just three hits in 12 innings Tuesday.

The first meeting between Bloomsburg and West Chester was split. Bloomsburg winning 7-0 in the first game and West Chester winning 5-0 in the second.
