GAME TWO (HTML)BLOOMSBURG—
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie/Pennridge)'s two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning put the Bloomsburg University softball team ahead for good in and helped the Huskies post a 5-3 win over West Chester and a split of its doubleheader on Saturday. The Golden Rams won the opener 4-1.

In game two with the Huskies trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth,
Maggie Hall (Cooperstown, N.Y./Cooperstown) reached on an error with
Bridget Casey (Perkasie/Pennridge) coming in to pinch run. After a pop up,
Erica Keen (Gordonville/Bishop Shanahan) singled to put runners at first and second. Following a strikeout for out number two, Mayhew delivered a double scoring both runners and giving the Huskies a 4-3 lead.
Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) then singled scoring Mayhew to make it 5-3.

In the top of the seventh West Chester (34-12, 18-6 PSAC) put two runners on with two outs, but Bloomsburg pitcher
Taylor Parker (Dewart/Warrior Run) got a pop up to end the game.

West Chester led 2-0 after two innings scoring single runs in the first and second. Bloomsburg got a solo homer from
Sarah Bortner (Glenville/South Western) in the fourth and then got an unearned run in the fifth to tie the game. A solo homer from West Chester in the top of the sixth put the Golden Rams back on top setting up the dramatic sixth inning.

Parker got the win going the distance striking out five and walking two.

In game one West Chester scored three times in the third and once in the seventh to back the strong pitching of Amanda Houck who limited the Huskies to just two hits in the game. Bloomsburg scored its only run of the game in the game in the bottom of the seventh on an RBI double by
Caitlin O'Connor (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls).

Bloomsburg (18-10, 13-5 PSAC East) will be back in action on Sunday hosting East Stroudsburg at 1 p.m. The game was originally set for Monday, but was moved due to the threat of rain.
