Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) became the school's all-time leader in career goal scored when she netted the 196
th of her career late in the contest.

The Huskies (7-6, 6-4 PSAC) started quickly in the game scoring just 48 seconds into the contest when Falk took a pass from fellow senior
Marisa Moley (Phoenixville/Spring-Ford) and drilled a shot past the Laker goalie. Bloomsburg made it 2-0 about six minutes later when senior
Morgan Sherriff (Downingtown/Coatesville) scored on a free position shot giving the Huskies some momentum.

Mercyhurst (13-2, 9-1 PSAC) got on the board with 18:22 left to play making it a 2-1 game before Sheriff scored again with senior
Patrice Coleman (Media/Penncrest ) getting the assist to once again give Bloomsburg a two-goal edge.

The Lakers, though, rattled off the final six goals of the half using some crisp passing to take an 8-3 lead despite the Huskies holding an 18-12 edge in shots.

Mercyhurst opened the second half with goal to go up 9-3. But Falk, who is also closing on school records for career assists and points, scored her second and third goals of the game sandwiched around a goal from Mercyhurst to make it 9-5.

The Lakers went back on top by five goals, 10-5, before
Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) scored for the Huskies to once again narrow the margin with 12:10 left to play.

A rally, however, would not be in the script for the Huskies this day as the Lakers scored six of the game's final eight goals to get the win.

The two goals for Bloomsburg came from Falk to give her the school record and break the mark set by Georgia Carinci (2001-2004) who had 195 in her career. Falk is also chasing Carinci in career points and assists. Carinci has 294 points and 99 career assists to 286 points and 90 assists for Falk.
Falk finished the game with five goals scored, two ground balls and two draw controls, while Moley had two assists.

Also prior to the game Bloomsburg recognized Steph Pettit '89 who made a $1 million dollar contribution to Bloomsburg University for improvements to the stadium as well as scholarships for both male and female athletes.

The Huskies will be back in action on Wednesday hosting IUP in the regular season, home finale starting at 4 p.m.
