BOX SCORE (HTML)BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's lacrosse team suffered an 11-4 loss to the IUP Crimson Hawks on Wednesday afternoon at Steph Pettit Stadium. It was the final regular season home game for the Huskies in 2015.

IUP (10-6, 8-3 PSAC) scored just 1:35 into the game when Bailey McLeish scored on a pass from Amy Weinberg. The Crimson Hawks added to that lead scoring two goals just over a minute apart to make it a 3-0 game with less than 25 minutes to go in the first half.

Meanwhile the Huskies struggled turning the ball over 10 times in the first 22 minutes of play and getting off just one shot. Bloomsburg finally broke through with 7:05 to play when
Julie Falk (Millersville/Penn Manor) scored her team-leading 42
nd goal of the year coming straight on from the top of the arc.

With IUP leading 3-1 at halftime, the Huskies came out and quickened the pace of play scoring just 39 seconds into the period when
Patrice Coleman (Media/Penncrest ) took a pass from Falk to close the gap to 3-2.

However, IUP would score four goals over the next 16 minutes to regain control of the game and lead 7-2.

The Huskies came back with two of the next three goals with
Morgan Sherriff (Downingtown/Coatesville) scoring off a
Brigid Kyne (Newtown Square/Marple Newtown) assist and Kyne adding an unassisted goal of her own for an 8-3 IUP lead with 5:01 to play.

But IUP would close the game scoring the next three goals to win 11-4.

Bloomsburg, 7-7, 6-5 in the PSAC, wraps up the regular season with a game at Millersville on Saturday at 1 p.m. A win in the game will clinch a spot in next week's PSAC playoffs.
