BOX SCORE GAME TWOWEST CHESTER—Bloomsburg University sophomore
Taylor Parker (Dewart/Warrior Run) tossed a four hit shutout to lead the Huskies softball team to a 7-0 win one game one of PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Eastern Division matchup. In game two West Chester rebounded winning by a score of 5-0.

In game one the Huskies got Parker all the runs she would need when they scored four times in the fifth inning.

Emily Mayhew (Perkasie/Pennridge) led off the inning with a single and moved to second on a bunt by
Anna McElroy (Jessup/Valley View).
Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) was then hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second with one out.
Erica Keen (Gordonville/Bishop Shanahan) then dropped down a bunt that was thrown away by the West Chester pitcher allowing Mayhew to score and Carcasses moving to third.
Kayla McHale (Dillsburg/Northern) then reached on an infield single to load the bases.
Erika Yanora (Tunkhannock/Tunkhannock) drew a walk to force in a run and make it 2-0.
Caitlin O'Connor (Rockaway, NJ/Morris Knolls) then delivered a single down the left field line with Keen and McHale scoring to give Bloomsburg a 4-0 lead.

The Huskies added a run in the sixth when Keen hit a sacrifice fly scoring Mayhew for a 5-0 lead, then got two insurance runs in the seventh with
Bridget Casey (Perkasie/Pennridge) and
Sarah Bertoni (Nanticoke/Greater Nanticoke Area) coming into score.

Parker was in control throughout allowing just single hits in four innings and having to work out of just one jam. In the bottom of the fifth West Chester got a leadoff double and had a batter hit by a pitch to put runners on first and second with no outs. Parker got the next two batters in order to preserve the shutout.

O'Connor went 2-4 in game one with two RBI to lead the offense.

Game two was a pitcher's duel between the Huskies
Sarah Bertoni (Nanticoke/Greater Nanticoke Area) and the Golden Rams Brooke Harner with neither pitcher allowing a hit through the first four innings.

The Huskies did have an early scoring opportunity in the top of the first inning when
Kayla McHale (Dillsburg/Northern) and O'Connor drew walks putting runners at first and second with one out. Harner, though, got a fielder's choice and a pop up to end the threat.

Bloomsburg finally got its first hit in the top of the fifth inning when Carcasses singled to right with two outs. But Harner again got the third out to keep the game scoreless.

In the fifth the Golden Rams got their first hit of the game when Cat Hammer slammed a home run to make it 1-0. In the sixth West Chester broke the game open scoring four times on three hits and taking advantage of one error. The big hit in the inning was a three-run double from Erin Quesne.

Bloomsburg went in order in the top of the seventh to give West Chester the win.

The Huskies, 7-7, 2-2 in the PSAC East, are scheduled to play at Millersville on Friday at 2:30 p.m.
