GAME TWO (HTML)BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University softball team ended its home regular season with a split of its doubleheader with Millersville on Friday afternoon. The Huskies won the opener 11-4, then, dropped the nightcap, 7-4.

In game one,
Erica Keen (Gordonville/Bishop Shanahan) went 3-3 with three runs scored and three RBI, while
Erika Yanora (Tunkhannock/Tunkhannock) went 3-4 with three runs scored to lead Bloomsburg to the win.

The Huskies took a 2-0 lead in the third inning with Keen getting a leadoff single and later coming in to score on a ground out by
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie/Pennridge).Â
Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, NJ/Barnegat) then doubled in
Lea Rehm (Bloomsburg/Bloomsburg) to give Bloomsburg the early edge.

Millersville got one run back in the top of fourth inning on a solo homer. Bloomsburg then responded with two more runs to take a 4-1 lead.

Yanora doubled to start the inning and moved to third when
Anna McElroy (Jessup/Valley View) reached on an error.
Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa/Southern Columbia) then singled scoring Yanora with McElroy taking third. After a walk loaded the bases, two force plays at home kept it 3-1.
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie/Pennridge) then reached on a error with Keen scoring for a 4-1 lead.

Millersville tied the game at 4-4 in the top of the fifth inning with Jordan Sheffield hitting an opposite field three-run homer.

The Huskies, though came back with six runs in the bottom of the fifth to take control of the game. The big blow in the inning was a two-run homer by
Holly Peacock (Williamsport/Jersey Shore), her second in as many days. Tomaschik also had an RBI single, while Keen doubled home a pair of runs to make it 10-4. In the sixth Keen delivered an RBI single to make the final 11-4.

Tomaschik got the win going five innings with Borter going the final two innings.

In game two, Millersville led 3-0 going to the bottom of the fourth inning behind strong pitching from Brianna Andraos who held the Huskies to just three hits in that time.

In the bottom of the fourth the Huskies, though, struck for four runs. Peacock doubled to start the inning, while Mayhew walked. Peacock was out at third on a fielder's choice from Carcasses. After O'Connor walked to load the bases, Yanora reached on a fielder's choice with Mayhew beating the throw home. McElroy also plated a run on a fielder's choice with
Taylor Parker (Dewart/Warrior Run) bringing home another run with a single. Then with the bases loaded Rehm reached on an error with McElroy scoring the go-ahead run.

Millersville came back though and tied the game in the sixth and scored three times in the seventh to earn the win.

Parker went 3-3 with the bat, and took a no-decision in the circle after starting and going six innings.
Â
Bloomsburg is now 23-11, 18-6 in the PSAC East. The Huskies visit East Stroudsburg on Saturday at 1 p.m.
