LAST MEETINGLast season, The Lakers pulled out a 2-1 win over Bloomsburg, thanks to a goal by Jack Watson in the 35
th minute.
Nick Izzo (Frankford, DE/Indian River) got the Huskies on the board in the sixth minute, off of assists from
Mike Bamford (Doylestown/Central Bucks West) and
Austin Transue (Langhorne/Neshaminy). Mercyhurst responded less than two minutes later, as Danny Deakin beat goalie
Jared Ott (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) from 20 yards out to tie the game. The team would play the next 29 minutes before Watson took a cross in front of the net and scored the game-winner.
SCOUTING MERCYHURSTÂ Â Â Â Â Â Mercyhurst comes into Saturday's matchup 0-2 on the year, and coming off of a 3-1 loss to Notre Dame College (Ohio). Joseph Korb has the Lakers only goal of the year, while Richard Vanhorne has one assist. In goal, Nicholas Smith has played every minute, and made eight saves.
