STORYLINE
This game marks second consecutive year in which Bloomsburg is hosting St. Thomas Aquinas in its season opener.

LAST MEETING
Last season the Huskies opened up at home against the Spartans, with the game ending in a 0-0 draw after two scoreless overtimes. The Huskies finished with 19 shots, including 12 on goal, while the Spartans took 17 shots with seven on goal. Jared Ott (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) had seven saves in the net for the Huskies.

SCOUTING ST. THOMAS AQUINAS
The Spartans lost some key players from last year's team that went 7-7-3, including two of their top three scorers, and primary goalkeeper. Despite the losses, Michael Corbi returns after leading the team with 10 goals and 22 points in 2014. Last season the Spartans took 111 shots on goal and had a .464 shot-on-goal percentage. Junior goalkeepr Aiden Tansey will likely see the majority of the time in net in 2015, after making appearances in five contests last year.

ALL-TIME SERIES
The all-time series between Bloomsburg and St. Thomas Aquinas is tied 1-1-2.

NEW FACES
The Huskies bring in six freshmen for the 2015 campaign. They are Matt Quercini (Hillside, NJ/DePaul Catholic) (Hillside, NJ / DePaul Catholic), Kenny Herrmann (Langhorne/Neshaminy) (Langhorne / Neshaminy), Alex Tennant (Yardley/Pennsburg) (Yardley / Pennsburg), Anthony Ortiz (Lewisburg/Lewisburg) (Lewisburg / Lewisburg), Nick DiBiase (East Hanover, NJ/DePaul Catholic) (East Hanover, NJ / DePaul Catholic), and Clayton Newton (Jersey Shore/Jersey Shore Area) (Jersey Shore / Jersey Shore Area). The six freshmen look to fill in the gaps left by Nate Conrad (Enola/East Pennsboro) and Roma Loboda (Waverly/Abington Heights).

UPCOMING SCHEDULE
Following today's action, the Huskies play their next two games as well here at Steph Pettit Stadium. On Saturday Bloomsburg will host the New York Institute of Technology at 1 p.m., followed by the PSAC opener against Millersville on Wednesday at 4 p.m. The Huskies then hit the road next Friday, Sept. 11 to take on Gannon University at 4 p.m.
