STORYLINEThis game marks second consecutive year in which Bloomsburg is hosting St. Thomas Aquinas in its season opener.
Â
LAST MEETINGLast season the Huskies opened up at home against the Spartans, with the game ending in a 0-0 draw after two scoreless overtimes. The Huskies finished with 19 shots, including 12 on goal, while the Spartans took 17 shots with seven on goal.
Jared Ott (Philadelphia/Archbishop Ryan) had seven saves in the net for the Huskies.
             Â
SCOUTING ST. THOMAS AQUINASThe Spartans lost some key players from last year's team that went 7-7-3, including two of their top three scorers, and primary goalkeeper. Despite the losses, Michael Corbi returns after leading the team with 10 goals and 22 points in 2014. Last season the Spartans took 111 shots on goal and had a .464 shot-on-goal percentage. Junior goalkeepr Aiden Tansey will likely see the majority of the time in net in 2015, after making appearances in five contests last year.
