Â
With the Huskies taking over on their own 20-yard line, Bloomsburg used the legs of freshman
Alex Gooden (Parkesburg/Octorara) who carried the ball four times for 62 yards on the drive before it stalled at the Red Raiders 12-yard line.
Tyler Smith (Gettysburg/Gettysburg) then came in and drilled a 29-yard field goal. The points were the first of the season for the Huskies in the first quarter of a game.

Shippensburg tied the score on its next possession when Billy Deane connected from 23-yards out.
Â
In the second period neither team could mount much of a scoring threat. The Red Raiders did move to the Bloomsburg 21-yard line, but Deane's 38-yard field goal try was blocked by
Donovan Morris (Philadelphia/George Washington) keeping it a 3-3 game.
Â

Joe Parsnik (Wilkes-Barre/Coughlin) scored on a 12-yard run to make it 10-3.
Â
Shippensburg answered on its next possession and closed to within 10-6 after Deane connected from 39-yards out.
Â
Later Bloomsburg put the game out of reach with the help of all three phases of the game. A
Will Wagner (Wernersville/Conrad Weiser) punt pinned the Red Raiders back to its own two-yard line. The Huskies defense then forced a three and out giving the offense the ball at the Shippensburg 37-yard line after as 26-yard punt by Deane. Elliott then had a seven yard run, followed by a 30-yard touchdown run to make it 17-6.
Â
Shippensburg drove to the Huskies 16-yard line on its final possession, but failed on a fourth down conversion with under three minutes to play in the game. The Huskies then ran out the clock for its second win of the year.
Â
As a team the Huskies gained 352 yards on the ground and had a season-best 482 yards of total offense. Mark Collins and Toomey led the defense with eight tackles each.
