HTML BOX SCOREBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team played to a 0-0, 2 overtime tie with California (PA) University on Saturday at Steph Pettit Stadium.

Before the game the Huskies wore t-shirts with the phrase "Feel the Teel" in honor of Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.

In the opening half the teams went back and forth with neither team getting a great look at the goal. Cal's Kaili Smith drilled two shots from near midfield that were easily saved by the Huskies Devin Haviland, while the Huskies
Ashley Sanchez (Lyndhurst/DePaul Catholic) had two shots miss the mark.

The second half saw the Huskies come away with a few good scoring chances. In the 51
st minute Sanchez headed a shot that got by the goalie, Meghan Jayes, only to have Lauren Pezzica come in for a defensive save keeping it scoreless. Then in the 59
th minute
Allie Barber (Pittston Twp/Pittston Area) took a pass and fired off a shot with her left foot with Jayes making a diving stop of the ball.

In the overtime period the Huskies back line defense held the Vulcans without a shot, while offense generated three shots on goal, but no goals.

Devon Haviland (Warminster/Archbishop Wood) finished with eight saves, while Jayes finished with three saves.

Bloomsburg is now 4-3-1, 3-3-1 in the PSAC, while Cal falls to 4-2-2, 4-2-2 in the PSAC. The Huskies play at Shippensburg on Tuesday at 4 p.m.
