HTML BOX SCORESHIPPENSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team lost to Shippensburg, 1-0, in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) matchup on Tuesday.
The Huskies held the edge in shots, 13-5, and shots on goal, 6-2, but it was Haley Jones for the Raiders with a late first half goal that proved to be the difference in the game.
There were only three corner kicks in the game with the Huskies getting two of them. The last came in the game's final minute when
Allie Camp (Beavertown/Midd-West) delivered a ball to
Rachel Yenney (Collegeville/Perkiomen Valley) who took a shot. Yenney's attempt though was saves by Shippensburg's Leah Roy preserving the win.
Bloomsburg (4-4-1, 3-4-1 in the PSAC), plays at Slippery Rock on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
