LAST TIME OUT ...
Bloomsburg could never get started on Wednesday night and dropped a 72-41 decision at Millersville. The Huskies only had seven first quarter points, and trailed 33-17 at halftime. After Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) scored the Huskies' first basket, Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) scored Bloomsburg's final 15 points of the half. The Huskies endured a bitter cold shooting night, finishing by making only 13 of their 55 field goal attempts (23.6%) and made only 3-of-24 three-pointers (12.5%). Bloomsburg was outrebounded, 44-28, and turned the ball over 20 times which led to 19 Millersville points. Hopkins finished with 19 points to pace Bloomsburg. Julia Gantz (Havertown/Archbishop John Carroll) was the next-highest scorer, finishing with five points in 15 minutes off the bench. Shelby Reimer led Millersville with 18 points.

DOESN'T HAPPEN OFTEN ...
Bloomsburg's 72-41 loss at Millersville was the program's worst loss since dropping an 80-44 decision at Shippensburg on January 27, 2010. The 41 points scored by the Huskies was the fewest scored by a Bloomsburg team since suffering a 54-38 loss at home against Clarion on January 11, 2009 - head coach Bill Cleary's first season with the program.

DID YOU KNOW ...
Bloomsburg's loss at Edinboro on Wednesday, January 6, was the first loss by a Huskies' team in the month of January since a 65-59 loss to West Chester on January 26, 2013. Since that loss, Bloomsburg had rattled off 21 straight victories in January prior to Wednesday. The Huskies have now lost twice in January - also the first time since that 2012-13 campaign.

THE LOCK HAVEN SERIES ...
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Lock Haven, 26-17. The series was tied at 17-17 until Bloomsburg began a nine-game winning streak against the Bald Eagles which started on December 5, 2008. During the Huskies' nine-game streak, only four of the wins were decided by ten or more points. Lock Haven has not won against Bloomsburg since December 19, 2007 - head coach Bill Cleary is a perfect 9-0 against the Bald Eagles.

LAST MEETING AGAINST LOCK HAVEN ...
Bloomsburg closed out the 2014-15 regular season with an 87-53 victory over Lock Haven on February 25, 2015 at Nelson Field House. The Huskies jumped out to an impressive 51-22 lead at halftime and never looked back, shooting 54.7% from the field and holding the Bald Eagles to 29.4% from the floor for the game. Bloomsburg had four players in double figures and two more players that finished with nine points in the win. Jocelyn Ford (Lansing, NY/Lansing) paced the Huskies with 18 points while Marla Simmons (Lebanon/Cedar Crest) added 17. Camden Boehner (Gettysburg/Gettysburg Area) scored 11 points in just 12 minutes off the bench and Taylor Maldonado (Stroudsburg/Allentown Central Catholic) chipped in with 10. Nikki Tamanosky (Camp Hill/Cumberland Valley) and Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) added nine points apiece. Sami Lane was the only Bald Eagle in double figures - she finished with 15 points.

SCOUTING LOCK HAVEN ...
Lock Haven enters Saturday's contest with a 7-9 overall record and a 4-8 mark in the PSAC Eastern Division. The Bald Eagles last played on Wednesday and suffered a 67-63 overtime loss at PSAC East-leading Shippensburg at Thomas Fieldhouse in Lock Haven. The Bald Eagles led 31-23 at halftime before Shippensburg outscored Lock Haven by five in the third quarter, three in the fourth, and four in overtime to escape. J.J. Hilliard led the Bald Eagles with 16 points while Emily James (14) and Mackenzie Livingston (10) also reached double figures. Since starting 1-4, Lock Haven is 6-5 over its last 11 contests. Offensively, the Bald Eagles average 62.3 points per game - tied for 15th in the PSAC. They do, however, boast the league's third-best scoring defense as they allow only 62.9 points per game to their opponents. Lock Haven is 17th in the PSAC in field goal shooting (37.1%) but it is first in the league in rebounds per game (41.6) and rebounding margin (+6.4). Rachael McDaniel leads the Bald Eagles in scoring, averaging 10.8 points per game with Livingston right behind at 10.6. Lysa Mealing leads the PSAC in rebounding, averaging 12.3 boards per game. She adds 8.7 points per game and has blocked a team-high nine shots. Lock Haven is not much of a threat from downtown, making only 56 triples in 16 games (3.5 per game). McDaniel has made 26 of the team's 56 three-pointers.

HOPKINS AND WEDNESDAY'S FIRST HALF ...
After Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) made Bloomsburg's first basket of the game at Millersville, the Huskies went ice cold except for Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area). Hopkins went on to score Bloomsburg's final 15 points of the half as the Huskies trailed, 33-17, at the break. Hopkins was 6-of-10 from the field in the opening half - the rest of the team went 1-of-18 (5.6%). All told, Hopkins finished with 19 of the team's 41 points and made 7-of-11 shots. The other Huskies combined to shoot 6-of-44 (13.6%) in the setback.

EIGHT IS NOT ENOUGH ...
Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) recorded her eighth double-double of the season during Saturday's 76-70 win at Kutztown. She posted 24 points and added 11 rebounds, establishing a career-high with 10 made field goals in the process. It was her first double-double, however, since December 4 when the Huskies defeated Mercyhurst, 66-61, in double overtime - the last of her seven consecutive double-doubles to start the season. Despite the dry spell, Hopkins is still averaging double figures in points (19.1) and and almost in rebounds (9.9) this season.

ROSS HAS CAREER DAY ...
Junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) poured in a career-high 22 points in Saturday's victory at Kutztown, marking the first time in her collegiate career that she had eclipsed 20 points in a game. Her previous high was 18 against the University of the Sciences on November 29. Ross is taking advantage of a significant increase in playing time this season, also adding her first career double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) earlier this year in the loss to Gannon on December 5. She averaged 1.0 points and 1.1 rebounds as a freshman and then 1.2 points and 1.7 rebounds last season. This season, she is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 9.9 points per game, is tied for third in rebounding at 4.7 boards per contest, and is fourth in assists per game (2.3).

CUTTING DOWN ON THREES ...
Bloomsburg has struggled from long distance all season as it enters the contest against Lock Haven ranked 15th in the conference in three-point shooting percentage (27.7%). The Huskies have made 80 threes in 15 games (5.3 per game) - 12th in the conference. In the win at Kutztown on January 9, the Huskies decided to go away from the long ball by attempting only five triples the entire game (two makes). As a result, the Huskies scored 48 of their 76 points in the paint against the Golden Bears - the team's second-highest total of the season.

SHOOTING STRUGGLES A SURPRISE ...
In two of the last three contests, the Huskies have struggled with their shooting - a surprising stat considering Bloomsburg is still third in the PSAC in shooting percentage (43.5%). At Edinboro on Wednesday, January 6, the Huskies went 19-of-63 (30.2%) and just 7-of-27 (25.9%) from beyond the arc. Things got worse for Bloomsburg on Wednesday, January 13 at Millersville as Bloomsburg shot just 13-of-55 (23.6%) from the field and 3-of-24 (12.5%) from long distance. In the other 13 games, the Huskies are 360-of-784 (45.9%) from the field - a number that would be leading the conference.

SECOND CHANCES ...
The Huskies have allowed 235 offensive rebounds to its opponents during the season. That figure equates to an average of 15.7 offensive rebounds per game that the Huskies are allowing, which has led to 185 points (12.3 per game). In comparison, the Huskies have 158 offensive boards (10.5) in 15 games, which has led to 138 second-chance points (9.2 ppg).

HOPKINS AMONG BEST ...
Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) ranks in the top ten in the PSAC in a number of categories, including points per game (second), rebounds per game (fifth), double-doubles (first), field goal percentage (third), free throw percentage (seventh), and steals per game (first). She is also tied for 16th in the conference in assists per game (3.8) and tied for 13th in blocks per game (1.2). She is doing this despite being ranked only 26th in the PSAC in minutes per game (31.6). She ranks 25th in the country in steals per game and 26th in the nation in points per game. She is also tied for 14th with eight double-doubles.

IMPRESSIVE CAREER ...
Redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) is putting together a fine career in a Bloomsburg uniform. Chosen as a preseason All-PSAC East selection, Sadowski ranks second on the team in scoring (12.6 ppg), second on the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg), and tops in blocked shots (1.9 bpg). She leads the PSAC in field goal percentage at 60.3%, which is the fifth best mark in the country (not including Wednesday's results). She is also tied for the conference lead in blocks per game at 1.9. Sadowski now needs 35 points to join the 1,000-point club - Catherine Noack was the last player to score at least 1,000 points, joining the club during the 2013-14 campaign. The redshirt senior is also closing in on 500 career rebounds as she is seven shy of reaching that milestone. Sadowski now also has 149 career blocks in a Husky uniform - third on the program's all-time list.

REBOUNDING WOES ...
Bloomsburg struggled mightily on the glass during the loss to Philadelphia on December 30. The Huskies were outrebounded by a 44-23 margin with Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) and Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) each pulling down a team-high five boards. Philadelphia had 20 offensive rebounds as opposed to Bloomsburg's four. The Rams' Tori Arnao nearly outrebounded the Huskies by herself - she finished with a game-high 21 boards.

Bloomsburg has now been outrebounded by an average of 4.7 boards per game - 17th out of 18 teams in the PSAC. The Huskies average 36.5 rebounds per game - 16th in the conference.

Over the last ten games, the Huskies have been outrebounded eight times and by a total of 90 boards - an average of 9.0 rebounds per contest. In five of the eight games, Bloomsburg has been outrebounded by at least ten. Meanwhile, over the first five games, Bloomsburg was not outrebounded once and averaged 4.0 more rebounds per game than its opponent.

NEW LOOK LINEUP ...
Bloomsburg head coach Bill Cleary decided to switch up the starting lineup against Slippery Rock on Sunday, Janaury 3, after a lackluster performance against Philadelphia University on Wednesday, December 30. The Huskies started five freshmen - Julia Gantz (Havertown/Archbishop John Carroll), Alyssa Mack (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic), Marissa Molnar (Erie/McDowell High School), Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley), and Casey Warley (West Chester/Bayard Rustin) with all but Gantz and Mack making their first collegiate starts. The move paid off as Mack (20 points), Warley (eight points), and Sneidman (two points) each posting new career highs.

TURNOVERS COSTLY ...
Bloomsburg struggled to hang on to the basketball against West Chester on Wednesday, December 16, and it proved to be costly for the Huskies. Bloomsburg turned the ball over 24 times which led to 38 West Chester points during the Huskies' 91-74 loss to the Golden Rams. Bloomsburg did everything else pretty well - it shot 50% from the field (27-of-54), shot 77.8% from the foul line (14-of-18), and outrebounded West Chester, 30-28. The difference was the points off turnovers category - West Chester held the edge in that department, 38-9.

Over 15 games, the Huskies are averaging 18.5 turnovers per game (14th in the PSAC), which has led to an average of 18.6 points off of turnovers for their opponents. Kutztown had 25 points off of 18 Bloomsburg turnovers on Saturday, January 9, with 19 points off turnovers in the fourth quarter alone.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE ...
Bloomsburg will go back on the road on Wednesday, January 20, when it travels to Cheyney for a 5:30 p.m. start. The Huskies will then be off until Wednesday, January 27, when they host PSAC East-leading Shippensburg at the Nelson Field House. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
