th career point, to lead the Bloomsburg University women's basketball team to an 89-68 win over Cheyney on Wednesday night in a PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) Eastern Division matchup.

Sadowski, a red-shirt senior, needed 25 points to become the 21
st player in school history to reach the plateau going into the game. She reached the milestone with a layup late in the third quarter.

The Huskies wasted little time grabbing control of the game opening a 9-1 lead just 5:11 into the game with Sadowski scoring six early points to set the tone for the night. Later a
Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) layup made it a 13-point first quarter advantage at 20-7 before the Wolves cut the margin back to 24-14 at the end of the period.

Cheyney hit a three-pointer to start the second period to get to within 24-17 with 8:34 to play in the second. But a 7-0 run by Bloomsburg, with Klunk draining a 3-pointer, pushed the lead back to 31-17. But the Wolves once again battled back and made it an eight-point game with 2:48 to go in the half. The Huskies came back with a 8-0 run of their own to end the period with
Marissa Molnar (Erie/McDowell High School) draining a 3-pointer at the buzzer for a 44-27 halftime lead.

With Sadowski needing 15 points to become the latest Huskies standout to reach the scoring mark, the Huskies began looking for the 6-1 post player in the third period. Sadowski responded with 16 of the Huskies 28 points in the quarter to help stretch the lead 72-47 going to the fourth period.

Early in the fourth period a layup from
Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) gave the Huskies their biggest lead of the game at 29 points, 79-50, before settling for the 21-point victory.

Sadowski shot 12 of 15 from the floor and was 3-4 from the foul line in finishing with 27 points for Bloomsburg, now 11-6, 8-5 in the PSAC East. Three other players,
Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic),
Alyssa Mack (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic) and
Marissa Molnar (Erie/McDowell High School), scored 12 points each for Bloomsburg.

Cheyney, 2-15, 0-13 in the PSAC East, got 19 points from TaKayla Ellis, while Amber Genwright and Krya Hines-Allen added 16 points each.

The Huskies are idle till Jan. 27 when they host Shippensburg at 5:30 p.m.
