LAST TIME OUT ...
It was a night to remember for redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) on Wednesday night as the Huskies knocked off PSAC East-leading Shippensburg, 88-62, at Nelson Field House. Sadowski broke a 28-year-old school record by scoring 43 points while also adding eight rebounds and three blocks. She scored Bloomsburg's first 12 points of the game and had 19 at halftime as the Huskies built up a 36-21 lead at the break. She added 14 points in the third quarter and 10 more in the fourth for her record-breaking performance. She was 18-of-23 from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line in the win. Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) also finished in double figures, chipping in 11 points and eight rebounds. Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) had a career-high 10 of the team's season-high 28 assists. The Huskies shot 52.2% from the field and made 13-of-14 from the free throw line.

MORE ON THE RECORD ...
Sadowski's 43 points broke the previous school record of 39 which was set by Bloomsburg Hall-of-Famer, Theresa Lorenzi, who accomplished the feat on February 13, 1988 in a 115-102 Husky victory at Cheyney. The 43 points tied for the 11th highest single game total in PSAC history and were just five shy of tying the PSAC record of 48 points set by Millersville's Terri Gunder during the 1970-71 season. The 18 field goals were also a program record, eclipsing the previous record of 17 set by Lorenzi on two different occasions (12/10/86 and 1/31/87).

DOUBLE DIGITS AGAIN ...
The victory over Lock Haven on January 16 was Bloomsburg's tenth win of the season - the eighth straight season that the Huskies have won at least ten games. The last time Bloomsburg did not win ten games was in 2007-08 when it went 8-19 under head coach Tammy Millsaps. Current head coach Bill Cleary took over in 2008-09 and has won at least ten games every season.

THE EAST STROUDSBURG SERIES ...
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against East Stroudsburg, 52-20. The Huskies have won the last 14 meetings between the two schools and have not lost to the Warriors since February 11, 2009 when East Stroudsburg beat Bloomsburg by a 70-58 final at Nelson Field House. That victory by the Warriors was the last of a string of eight straight wins by East Stroudsburg in the series.

LAST MEETING AGAINST EAST STROUDSBURG ...
The Huskies got off to a sluggish start and trailed East Stroudsburg, 30-27, at halftime. Bloomsburg owned the second half, however, outscoring the Warriors by a 46-22 margin to earn a 73-52 victory on December 1 - the program's 14th consecutive victory over East Stroudsburg. Bloomsburg shot just 25.8% from the floor in the first half before shooting 55.2% in the second twenty minutes. Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) posted her sixth double-double in six games, scoring 24 points and adding 11 rebounds. She also had six assists, four steals, and one block in the victory. Junior Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) reached double-figures for the sixth time in six games, scoring 15 points, while junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) scored 13 points and recorded a career-high five assists.

SCOUTING EAST STROUDSBURG ...
East Stroudsburg started the season by losing seven of its first eight games but has since turned its season around and enters Saturday's matchup with a 9-9 overall record and a 7-7 mark in the PSAC Eastern Division. The Warriors last played on Wednesday and dropped a 78-72 home decision to Millersville to fall into a fourth-place tie with the Marauders in the standings. East Stroudsburg averages 66.1 points per game on offense (11th in the PSAC) and it allows 67.1 points per game on defense (11th in the PSAC). Field goal shooting has plagued the Warriors this season as they shoot just 37.6% from the field - 15th in the conference. Allison Howard leads East Stroudsburg in scoring, averaging 16.1 points per game which is tied for 10th in the league. She also brings down a team-high 7.8 rebounds per game on the season. Imani Brown is the only other Warrior in double figures, averaging 11.3 points per contest. Howard and Brown have combined to make 54 of the team's 112 three-pointers on the season. Tyeca Reviere is the primary ballhandler and has 83 assists (4.6 per game) on the season while averaging 6.8 points and 5.4 rebounds. Noelle Powell and Madison Tamburini are the main threats coming off the bench as they average 6.1 and 5.4 points per game respectively.

LEAVING A MARK ON THE PROGRAM ...
Redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) became the 21st player (and 5th under head coach Bill Cleary) in program history to record 1,000 career points when she hit a bucket with 27 seconds left in the third quarter at Cheyney on January 20. She finished the game with 27 points, giving her 1,002 for her career and, after her school-record 43 points on Wednesday, is just 37 points shy of cracking the top 20 in program history. With her eight rebounds on Wednesday against Shippensburg, she became the 14th player in school history to have 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. In the process, Sadowski also became one of only two players in school history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 150 blocks. Colleen Kegerreis (2005-09) finished her career with 1,313 points, 859 rebounds, and 194 blocks.

FIRST TIME IN A WHILE ...
Junior Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) registered a career-high 10 assists in the victory over Shippensburg on January 27. It marked the first time a Bloomsburg player has had 10 or more assists in a game since Dana Wieller had 11 helpers in an 86-65 win over Philadelphia on December 30, 2012.

Prior to that, junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) scored 13 points and pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds in the win over the University of the Sciences on November 29. The 16 rebounds marked the first time that a Bloomsburg player had at least 15 boards in a game since Colleen Kegerreis pulled down 15 in a 71-70 loss against Cheyney on Janaury 14, 2009. Hopkins recorded another 16-rebound effort against Mercyhurst on December 4.

MACK IS BACK ...
For the fourth time this season, freshman Alyssa Mack (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic) was named the PSAC East Freshman of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. She earned the honor after posting 12 points in Bloomsburg's 88-68 win at Cheyney last Wednesday. Her 12 points snapped a string of four straight quiet outings since recording a career-high 20 points in the win over Slippery Rock on January 3. Prior to Wednesday, Mack had averaged 3.5 points, 0.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists over her last four games, but had 12 points on 4-of-8 from the field, 2-of-3 from long range, and 2-of-2 at the foul line. She also added two rebounds and a career-high four assists in the win over Cheyney.

MOLNAR HITS DOUBLE DIGITS ...
Freshman Marissa Molnar (Erie/McDowell High School) scored 11 points in the win at Cheyney on January 20 - the first time in her collegiate career that she has hit double digits. She was 1-of-1 from the field (a three-pointer to end the first half) and was 8-of-8 at the foul line. Molnar became the eighth different player to record a double-digit scoring game this season. So far this season, she is averaging 2.4 points per game in 13 games this season (8.6 minutes per game).

COSTANTINO HEATING UP ...
Junior Kristie Costantino (Norristown/Archbishop John Carroll) has emerged as the point guard for the Huskies going forward, as she has started six of the last eight games for Bloomsburg, and has proven to be an excellent handler of the Bloomsburg offense. Over the last eight games, dating back to December 30, Costantino is averaging 6.4 points and 3.3 assists and has all three of her double-digit scoring efforts during the span. Over her first seven games (she missed three due to an injury), Costantino averaged just 3.1 points and 2.4 assists.

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE ...
For the third time this season, five Bloomsburg players reached double figures in scoring when it defeated Lock Haven on January 16. Kristie Costantino (Norristown/Archbishop John Carroll) led the way with 16 while Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) (15), Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) (12), Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) (11), and Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) (10) also hit the mark. The Huskies also accomplished the feat against Gannon on December 5 and at Goldey-Beacom on November 17.

The Lock Haven game also marked the second time this season that multiple players recorded a double-double. Hopkins (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Ross (11 points, 10 rebounds) turned the trick against Lock Haven. Against Mercyhurst on December 4, three Huskies posted double-doubles - Hopkins, Klunk, and Sadowski.

COMING OUT PARTY ...
After scoring 25 total points (1.1 per game) and pulling down 33 total rebounds (1.4) over her first two seasons combined, junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) is taking advantage of a significant increase in playing time this season. She is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 9.9 points per game, third in rebounding at 5.1 boards per contest, fourth in assists per game (2.3), and third in blocks per game (0.7). She has two double-doubles this season with her second coming against Lock Haven on January 16 (11 points, 10 rebounds). She recorded her first double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in the loss to Gannon on December 5. In the win over Kutztown on January 9, Ross poured in a career-high 22 points, marking the first time in her collegiate career that she had eclipsed 20 points in a game. Her previous high was 18 against the University of the Sciences on November 29.

MAMA, MIA ...
Junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) recorded her ninth double-double of the season during the 66-55 win over Lock Haven on January 16 after posting 12 points and 12 rebounds in the win. Her 24-point, 11-rebound effort at Kutztown on January 9 was her first double-double since December 4 when the Huskies defeated Mercyhurst, 66-61, in double overtime - the last of her seven consecutive double-doubles to start the season. Despite only recording two double-doubles in the last 11 games, Hopkins is still averaging double figures in points (17.3) and in rebounds (10.1) this season. She is still tied for the PSAC lead, and tied for 18th in the country, with nine double-doubles.

DOESN'T HAPPEN OFTEN ...
Bloomsburg's 72-41 loss at Millersville on Wednesday, January 13, was the program's worst loss since dropping an 80-44 decision at Shippensburg on January 27, 2010. The 41 points scored by the Huskies were the fewest scored by a Bloomsburg team since suffering a 54-38 loss at home against Clarion on January 11, 2009.

REBOUNDING WOES ...
Bloomsburg has now been outrebounded by an average of 3.9 boards per game - 16th out of 18 teams in the PSAC. The Huskies average 36.9 rebounds per game - 16th in the conference. Over the last 13 games, the Huskies have been outrebounded nine times and by a total of 91 boards - an average of 7.0 rebounds per contest. In six of the nine games, Bloomsburg has been outrebounded by at least ten. Meanwhile, over the first five games, Bloomsburg was not outrebounded once and averaged 4.0 more rebounds per game than its opponent.

The Huskies, however, are showing signs of improvement. Bloomsburg held a 40-38 rebounding edge over Shippensburg on January 27 and outrebounded Cheyney, 38-27, on January 20 - the first time Bloomsburg outrebounded its opponent since edging Mansfield, 41-39, on December 19. It's only the third time this season that Bloomsburg has had back-to-back games of outrebounding its opponent.

SECOND CHANCES ...
The Huskies have allowed 294 offensive rebounds to their opponents during the season. That figure equates to an average of 16.3 offensive rebounds per game that the Huskies are allowing, which have led to 224 points (12.4 per game). In comparison, the Huskies have 190 offensive boards (10.6) which have led to 175 second-chance points (9.7 ppg).

NEW LOOK LINEUP ...
Bloomsburg head coach Bill Cleary decided to switch up the starting lineup against Slippery Rock on Sunday, Janaury 3, after a lackluster performance against Philadelphia University on Wednesday, December 30. The Huskies started five freshmen - Julia Gantz (Havertown/Archbishop John Carroll), Alyssa Mack (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic), Marissa Molnar (Erie/McDowell High School), Taylor Sneidman (Mechanicsburg/Cumberland Valley), and Casey Warley (West Chester/Bayard Rustin) with all but Gantz and Mack making their first collegiate starts. The move paid off as Mack (20 points), Warley (eight points), and Sneidman (two points) each posted new career highs. Cleary continued to tweak the lineup as freshman Madeline Murtin (Bloomsburg/Central Columbia) made her first collegiate start on January 16 against Lock Haven while Gantz was inserted back into the starting lineup. Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) and Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) came off the bench in the 11-point win over the Bald Eagles. He changed it again against Cheyney, replacing Murtin with Klunk in the starting five.

DID YOU KNOW ...
Bloomsburg's loss at Edinboro on Wednesday, January 6, was the first loss by a Huskies' team in the month of January since a 65-59 loss to West Chester on January 26, 2013. Since that loss, Bloomsburg had rattled off 21 straight victories in January. The Huskies have now lost twice in January - also the first time since that 2012-13 campaign.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE ...
The Huskies will return home on Wednesday, February 3 when they entertain West Chester in a pivotal PSAC East matchup. Tip-off from Nelson Field House is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. The Golden Rams handed Bloomsburg a 91-74 loss back on December 16 in West Chester.
