CLARION—The Bloomsburg University women's soccer team clinched a berth in the upcoming PSAC (Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference) after posting a 2-1 win over Clarion on Saturday night.

It's the second straight year the Huskies have earned a spot in the conference playoffs and 16
th time in school history. Bloomsburg will open the PSAC playoffs on Tuesday at Kutztown at 1 p.m.

The Huskies took the early lead in the game scoring in the 13
th minute.
Allie Barber (Pittston Township, Pa./Pittston Area) fed a ball to
Megan Callan (Eldersburg, Md./Century) who took a shot from just outside the box. For Callan it was her third goal of the season.

Bloomsburg continued to put the pressure on the Golden Eagles taking 10 shots to eight in the first half, but could not add to its lead. Clarion tied the score at 1-1 in the 33
rd minute when Alissa Spencer scored off of one of four corner kicks for the home team in the first half.

In the second half of play the Huskies dominated the action holding an 8-1 edge in shots and a 6-0 edge in corner kicks. But it wasn't until the 82
nd minute when
Megan Carroll (Middletown, Pa./Middletown Area) fed
Allie Camp (Beavertown, Pa./Midd-West) who scored her second goal of the season that the Huskies broke the 1-1 tie.

The Bloomsburg midfield and backs did the rest for the final eight minutes preventing any shot attempts by Clarion.

Devon Haviland (Warminster, Pa./Archbishop Wood) stopped one shot to earn the win.

Bloomsburg is now 9-6-2, 8-6-2 in the PSAC, while Clarion falls to 2-14-2, 2-13-1 in the PSAC.
