Men's Soccer Falls to New York Tech

HTML BOX SCORE

OLD WESTBURY, NY—A late first half goal turned out to be the game's only score as the Bloomsburg University men's soccer team fell to New York Tech, 1-0, in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday afternoon.

The Huskies had the first shot on goal for the game when freshman Mike Bazadona (Courtdale, Pa./Wyoming Valley West) directed a shot to the net just 2:59 into the game. However, New York Tech goalie Jonathan Rico made the save.

The match stayed a scoreless duel into the 44th minute when the Bears' Martin Sundel headed Ben Wilson's corner kick to the top left corner of the goal for 1-0 lead at the break.

In the second half the Bears had nine shots to three for the Huskies, but neither team could find the back of the net.

Bloomsburg falls to 1-8-2, while New York Tech goes to 7-3-1. The Huskies host Notre Dame College of  Ohio on Saturday at 1 p.m.
