LAST TIME OUT ...
Bloomsburg entered the fourth quarter with a 13-point advantage at Mansfield on Saturday, only to see the lead evaporate as the Mountaineers outscored the Huskies, 23-6, in the fourth to stun Bloomsburg, 65-61. The loss snapped a 16-game winning streak against the Mountaineers, who hadn't beaten Bloomsburg since February 4, 2009. Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) led the Huskies with 20 points and eight rebounds - her fourth 20-point outing of the season. Freshman Julia Gantz (Havertown/Archbishop John Carroll) was the only other Husky in double figures as she dropped in 15 - three shy of her career-high. The duo combined to shoot 16-of-25 from the field while the rest of the team went 10-of-35. Bloomsburg also turned the ball over 19 times and allowed 16 offensive rebounds to Mansfield. Katie Fitzpatrick led three Mountaineers in double figures with 20 points.

DOUBLE DIGITS AGAIN ...
The victory over Lock Haven on January 16 was Bloomsburg's tenth win of the season - the eighth straight season that the Huskies have won at least ten games. The last time Bloomsburg did not win ten games was in 2007-08 when it went 8-19 under head coach Tammy Millsaps. Current head coach Bill Cleary took over in 2008-09 and has won at least ten games every season.

THE KUTZTOWN SERIES ...
Bloomsburg leads the all-time series against Kutztown, 67-23, and has really taken control of the series in recent history. The Huskies have won the last 14 meetings between the two schools and have not lost to the Golden Bears since March 2, 2010 when Kutztown posted a 74-67 home win in the PSAC Quarterfinals. Last season, Bloomsburg defeated Kutztown three times, including a 64-54 victory in the PSAC Quarterfinals at the Nelson Field House.

LAST MEETING AGAINST KUTZTOWN ...
Bloomsburg jumped out to a 63-36 lead after three quarters but had to hang on for a 76-70 victory at Kutztown on January 9. The Huskies led from wire-to-wire but were outscored in the fourth quarter by a 34-13 margin, giving up 19 points off turnovers to the Golden Bears in the final period. Bloomsburg shot 30-of-56 (53.6%) from the field - the fifth time this season (all in the last six games) that the Huskies have been over 50%. Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) recorded her eighth double-double of the season, but her first since December 4, with 24 points and 11 rebounds. She was, however, limited to just four points and four rebounds in the second half after getting off to a blazing start. Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) poured in a career-high 22 points - the first 20-point effort of her collegiate career. Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) (11) and Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) (10) also finished in double figures.

SCOUTING KUTZTOWN ...
Kutztown enters Wednesday's game on a four-game losing streak and has dropped to 8-13 overall and 5-12 in the PSAC Eastern Division standings. The Golden Bears' last victory came on January 20 when they posted a 72-60 home victory over Mansfield. Kutztown most recently played on Saturday and dropped an 86-81 decision, at home, to Shippensburg. The Golden Bears average 69.9 points per game on offense and allow 69.5 points per game on defense. Three Kutztown players average double digits in scoring, led by Kelsey Watson who pours in 16.5 points per game. She is also the team's leading rebounder at 9.0 per contest. Watson is fourth in the PSAC in scoring and sixth in rebounding. Natalya Lee averages 15.0 points per game and leads the team with 105 assists (5.0 per game). Jenna Altomare is also in double  digits, averaging 13.9 points per contest. She leads the team, and the conference, with 68 three-pointers in 184 attempts (.370). Her long-range percentage is fifth in the PSAC. Kutztown is one of the best teams in the league in handling the basketball as it is second in the conference in assist/turnover ratio (1.14), third in turnover margin (+2.86), and sixth in turnovers per game (14.8).

STREAKS SNAPPED ...
Bloomsburg saw it modest three-game winning streak snapped on Saturday, January 30, at East Stroudsburg, 71-66. The Huskies also had their 14-game winning streak against the Warriors snapped in the process. It was East Stroudsburg's first win over Bloomsburg since February 11, 2009 - a 70-58 decision at Nelson Field House. Then, on Saturday, February 6, Bloomsburg had its 16-game winning streak snapped against Mansfield when the Mountaineers rallied from 13 points down in the fourth quarter to post a 65-61 win over the Huskies. Mansfield had not beaten Bloomsburg since February 4, 2009.

FOURTH QUARTER ISSUES ...
Bloomsburg has had issues, especially recently, in putting teams away when leading after three quarters. The Huskies have blown three fourth quarter leads this season (9-3) and nearly blew a fourth when Kutztown outscored the Huskies, 34-13, in the final period on January 9. Bloomsburg won the game, 76-70, thanks to a 63-36 lead after three quarters. Most recently, Mansfield came back from 13 points down at the start of the fourth to stun the Huskies on Saturday, February 6, 65-61. This season, the Huskies have been outscored by 52 points in the fourth quarter (394-342) but have outscored their opponents by 84 points in the other three quarters combined.

SADOWSKI NAMED PSAC EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK ...
Despite two Bloomsburg losses, redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) was named the PSAC East Player of the Week on Monday, February 8, after averaging 18.0 points and 9.5 rebounds for the week. During Wednesday's 78-65 home loss to West Chester, Sadowski recorded her third double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds while adding two assists and two steals. She followed that performance with her fourth 20-point outing of the season in Saturday's 66-61 loss at Mansfield, leading the Huskies with 20 points and eight rebounds. She also blocked three shots and had two steals in the setback.

GANTZ KEEP HER DOWN ...
Freshman Julia Gantz (Havertown/Archbishop John Carroll) had a strong game in the loss at Mansfield on February 6, posting 15 points on 6-of-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from long range. It was her third double-digit scoring effort of the season, but her first since scoring a career-high 18 points at West Chester on December 16. In the 11 games in between, Gantz had averaged only 4.5 points on 19-of-63 shooting (.302). She is second on the team in points by a rookie, averaging 5.6 points per game this season (Alyssa Mack (Walnutport/Allentown Central Catholic), 6.9).

DOUBLE YOUR PLEASURE ...
The loss against West Chester on February 3, marked the third time this season that multiple players recorded a double-double. Sadowski (16 points, 11 rebounds) and Ross (12 points, 10 rebounds) turned the trick against the Golden Rams. Hopkins (12 points, 12 rebounds) and Ross (11 points, 10 rebounds) achieved the feat against Lock Haven on January 16 while three Huskies posted double-doubles - Hopkins, Klunk, and Sadowski - against Mercyhurst on December 4. Meanwhile, the Huskies have also had three games where five players reached double figures in scoring. The latest occurrence came on January 16 when the Huskies defeated Lock Haven. Kristie Costantino (Norristown/Archbishop John Carroll) led the way with 16 while Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) (15), Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) (12), Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) (11), and Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) (10) also hit the mark. The Huskies also accomplished the feat against Gannon on December 5 and at Goldey-Beacom on November 17.

LEAVING A MARK ON THE PROGRAM ...
Redshirt senior Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) became the 21st player (5th under head coach Bill Cleary) in program history to record 1,000 career points when she hit a bucket with 27 seconds left in the third quarter at Cheyney on January 20. She finished the game with 27 points, which gave her 1,002 for her career. She had an even-better performance against Shippensburg, posting a school-record 43 points on 18-of-23 from the field and 7-of-7 from the foul line. With her 20 points at Mansfield on Saturday, Sadowski moved into 20th place on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,084 points. She needs 25 points to surpass Holly Curnow (1995-99) for 19th place. Meanwhile, with her eight rebounds on Wednesday, January 27, against Shippensburg, she became the 14th player in school history to have 1,000 points and 500 rebounds. In the process, Sadowski also became one of only two players in school history with 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 150 blocks. Colleen Kegerreis (2005-09) finished her career with 1,313 points, 859 rebounds, and 194 blocks.

MORE ON THE RECORD ...
Sadowski's 43 points broke the previous school record of 39 which was set by Bloomsburg Hall-of-Famer, Theresa Lorenzi, who accomplished the feat on February 13, 1988 in a 115-102 Husky victory at Cheyney. The 43 points tied for the 11th highest single game total in PSAC history and were just five shy of tying the PSAC record of 48 points set by Millersville's Terri Gunder during the 1970-71 season. The 18 field goals were also a program record, eclipsing the previous record of 17 set by Lorenzi on two different occasions (12/10/86 and 1/31/87).

COSTANTINO HEATING UP ...
Junior Kristie Costantino (Norristown/Archbishop John Carroll) has emerged as the point guard for the Huskies as she has started each of the last eight games and nine of the last eleven. Over the last eleven games, dating back to December 30, Costantino is averaging 6.0 points and 3.2 assists and has all three of her double-digit scoring efforts during the span. Over her first seven games (she missed three due to an injury), Costantino averaged just 3.1 points and 2.4 assists.

COMING OUT PARTY ...
After scoring 25 total points (1.1 per game) and pulling down 33 total rebounds (1.4) over her first two seasons combined, junior Alex Ross (Lancaster/Manheim Township) is taking advantage of a significant increase in playing time this season. She is fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 10.1 points per game, third in rebounding at 5.1 boards per contest, fourth in assists per game (2.3), and third in blocks per game (0.7). She has three double-doubles this season with her latest coming against West Chester on February 3 (12 points, 10 rebounds). Her second came against Lock Haven on January 16 (11 points, 10 rebounds) while her first double-double (11 points, 10 rebounds) in the loss to Gannon on December 5. In the win over Kutztown on January 9, Ross poured in a career-high 22 points, marking the first time in her collegiate career that she had eclipsed 20 points in a game. Her previous high was 18 against the University of the Sciences on November 29.

SHARP SHOOTERS ...
Bloomsburg enters Wednesday's contest ranked second in the PSAC in shooting percentage (44.4%) and second in the league in free throw percentage (73.7%). The Huskies have two of the top three shooters from the field in the conference - Adreana Sadowski (Fleetwood/Brandywine Heights) (1st - 62.9%) and Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) (3rd - 52.1%) while Hopkins also is tied for seventh in the league in free throw shooting (80.6%). The Huskies have shot better than 50% from the field seven times this season and are 5-2 in those games.

NCAA WATCH ...
Sadowski's 62.9% shooting percentage is not only tops in the conference, but it ranks third in the country entering action this week. Sadowski has made 129 of her 205 field goal attempts this season and trails only West Liberty's Kierra Simpson (67.2%; 127-of-189) and Lewis' Jessica Kelliher (66.7%; 166-of-249). Sadowski is one of only seven players in the country to be shooting at least 60% from the field this season.

DOESN'T HAPPEN OFTEN ...
Bloomsburg's 72-41 loss at Millersville on Wednesday, January 13, was the program's worst loss since dropping an 80-44 decision at Shippensburg on January 27, 2010. The 41 points scored by the Huskies were the fewest scored by a Bloomsburg team since suffering a 54-38 loss at home against Clarion on January 11, 2009.

REBOUNDING WOES ...
Bloomsburg has now been outrebounded by an average of 4.3 boards per game - 16th out of 18 teams in the PSAC. The Huskies average 36.5 rebounds per game - also 16th in the conference. Over the last 16 games, the Huskies have been outrebounded on 12 occasions by a total of 112 boards - an average of 7.0 rebounds per contest. In six of the twelve games, Bloomsburg has been outrebounded by at least ten. Meanwhile, over the first five games of the season, Bloomsburg was not outrebounded and averaged 4.0 more rebounds per game than its opponent.

SECOND CHANCES ...
The Huskies have allowed 343 offensive rebounds (16.3 per game) to their opponents during the season, which have led to 263 points (12.5 per game) second-chance points. In comparison, the Huskies have only 217 offensive boards (10.3) which have led to 199 second-chance points (9.5 ppg).

DID YOU KNOW ...
Bloomsburg's loss at Edinboro on Wednesday, January 6, was the first loss by a Huskies' team in the month of January since a 65-59 loss to West Chester on January 26, 2013. Since that loss, Bloomsburg had rattled off 21 straight victories in January. The Huskies lost three times in January - the most since losing four times during the 2010-11 season.

Bloomsburg is currently in the midst of a three-game losing streak, the program's longest such skid since losing three in a row from February 17 to February 24, 2010.

FIRST TIME IN A WHILE ...
Junior Morgan Klunk (Felton/York Catholic) registered a career-high 10 assists in the victory over Shippensburg on January 27. It marked the first time a Bloomsburg player had 10 or more assists in a game since Dana Wieller had 11 helpers in an 86-65 win over Philadelphia on December 30, 2012. Prior to that, junior Mia Hopkins (Pittston/Pittston Area) scored 13 points and pulled down a season-high 16 rebounds in the win over the University of the Sciences on November 29. The 16 rebounds marked the first time that a Bloomsburg player had at least 15 boards in a game since Colleen Kegerreis pulled down 15 in a 71-70 loss against Cheyney on Janaury 14, 2009. Hopkins recorded another 16-rebound effort against Mercyhurst on December 4.

UPCOMING SCHEDULE ...
Bloomsburg will be back on the road on Saturday, February 13, when it makes the short trip across I-80 to take on Lock Haven. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. The Huskies and the Bald Eagles met on January 16 at Nelson Field House with Bloomsburg earning a 66-55 victory.
