STORYLINE

Bloomsburg entertains Nyack in the team's first home games of the season. The Huskies enter the doubleheader with a 12-3 record but lost their last game against West Virginia Wesleyan, 5-4, on March 13. Meanwhile, the Warriors are 4-13 overall and split with Felician (L 4-9; W 6-2) in their most recent games on Tuesday.

ALL-TIME SERIES

Bloomsburg and Nyack have met only one time in the series history with the Huskies posting a 12-0 win in Orlando, Florida back on March 13, 2010.

LAST MEETING

In the only meeting between the two schools, Bloomsburg's Cait Payne threw a five-inning no-hitter as the Huskies blanked the Warriors, 12-0. She walked two and struck out 10 and got all the offense she would need in the first when Bloomsburg scored three times. Lacy Mauro had a three-run double in a six-run second inning. Danielle Lazorka went 3-for-3 in the victory.

SCOUTING BLOOMSBURG

Bloomsburg enters Thursday's twinbill with a 12-3 record which includes a seven-game winning streak from February 28 to March 9. Last season, the Huskies went 26-16 and were 11-3 at Jan M. Hutchinson Field. Holly Peacock (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore) is the team's leading hitter, collecting 12 hits in her 33 at bats for a .364 batting average. Bridget Casey (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) is also hitting .364 with eight hits in 22 at bats. Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat) is hitting .350 while Erica Keen (Gordonville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) is right behind at .342. Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) is off to a fast start both at the plate and in the circle. She is batting .333 with a team-leading five home runs and 19 runs batted in. Parker also leads the team with a 1.43 earned run average while posting a 3-1 record in five starts. Sarah Bortner (Glenville, Pa./South Western) is 6-2 with a 1.81 ERA and has struck out 40 batters in 46.1 innings. As a team, the Huskies are hitting .289 and are limiting opponents to a .218 batting average

SCOUTING NYACK

The Warriors are 4-13 overall and 2-2 in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). Nyack has played one team from the PSAC - Indiana (PA) - this season and is 0-2 against the Crimson Hawks. The Warriors lost to IUP, 9-4 on March 6 and then dropped a 3-2 decision on March 9. Alissa Brugnoli leads the team with a .306 batting average (15-for-49) with two home runs and seven stolen bases. Katie Lupinacci leads the team with three home runs as three of her five hits have cleared the fence. Meghan Richards is the team's leader in runs batted in with 11. As a team, the Warriors are hitting only .211 on the season. In the circle, Kylie Brase and Kim Yano have combined to start 13 games for the Warriors. Brase is 2-3 with a team-leading 4.23 ERA while Yano is 1-6 with a 6.33 earned run average.
