BOX SCOREBLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team dropped its spring season home opener on Friday falling 6-3 to Millersville University at the Burt Reese Tennis Center.

Millersville took a 2-1 lead after doubles action. Bloomsburg won the first match completed, 8-5, with the team of
Lindsey Tennis (Quakertown/Quakertown) and
Gabriela Bachinski (Cascavel, Panama/Colegio Estadula). The Marauders came back and won at number three, 8-4, and then won the deciding match at number two with the Huskies
Catherine Garrity (Allentown, Pa./Emmaus) and
Cassandra Wentz (Windber/Winber Area) falling 9-8 (4).

In singles play Millersville got its third point with a 6-2, 6-1 win at number one. Bloomsburg's
Meredith Endy (Hummelstown/Lower Dauphin) fell at number five singles losing 7-6 (5), 6-3 making it a 4-1 match. Tennis then dropped a tough match at number two by a score of 7-6 (3), 6-3 for Millersville's fifth and deciding point.

Bloomsburg did get a win from Wentz at number two, who won dropped the opening set, but came back to win in three 3-6, 6-2, 6-1.
Siena Cerra (Levittown/Neshaminy) also won in three sets, 7-5, 4-6, 10-4. Garrity lost a marathon match at number three losing 7-6 (4), 2-6, 10-7.

The Huskies fall to 0-4, 0-1 in the PSAC East, while Millersville is now 2-8, 1-0 PSAC East.
