ASHLAND BOX SCORECLERMONT, FL—The Bloomsburg University softball team began its spring break trip on a good note sweeping a pair of games on Sunday. The Huskies beat Felician College, 6-2, and rallied for a 6-4 win over Ashland University.
Taylor Parker (Dewart, Pa./Warrior Run) drove in a combined four runs on the day to lead the Huskies.

GAME ONE
Parker hit and pitched her way to a win in the first game of the day. The junior earned the win in the circle throwing six innings of four-hit ball and also hit a two-run homer in the game.

Felician took the early lead in the game scoring a run on two hits in the bottom of the first. The Huskies came back and went on top 2-1 in the third. With a runner on and two outs, Parker delivered a two-homer to center field putting the Huskies on top.

Bloomsburg made it 4-1 in the fourth.
Erica Keen (Gordonville, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) led off getting hit by a pitch and moved to second on a wild pitch. She came around to score when
Bridget Casey (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge) reached on an error by the left fielder. Casey later came in to score on a single by
Emily Mayhew (Perkasie, Pa./Pennridge).

In the fifth the Huskies tacked on two more runs to lead 6-1.
Kalynn Wheeland (South Williamsport, Pa./South Williamsport) led off with a home run, then later, Keen walked and came in on a bases loaded sacrifice fly by
Valerie Carcasses (Barnegat, N.J./Barnegat).

Felician got one run back in the seventh off of
Alyssa Davies (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood). The Golden Falcons loaded the bases with no outs, but Davies allowed just a sacrifice fly as the Huskies held on for the win.

Parker finished with eight strikeouts while allowing three walks to earn the win.

GAME TWO
The Huskies rallied from a 4-2 deficit to get the win in game two of the day.

The Eagles took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning off of starter
Sarah Bortner (Glenville, Pa./South Western). Bloomsburg came back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the first. Mayhew singled and went to second on a bunt. She took third on Parker's single. Both runners then scored on
Mallory Tomaschik (Catawissa, Pa./Southern Columbia) two-run double.

Ashland regained the lead in the top of the third inning scoring three times on two hits and taking advantage of two errors.

Bloomsburg rallied in the fourth. Keen led off with a triple and scored on a single by
Holly Peacock (Williamsport, Pa./Jersey Shore). After a strikeout, Carcasses reached on a fielder's choice and Mayhew singled putting runners at first and second. Winkelman doubled scoring Carcasses with Mayhew going to third. Parker then doubled home both Mayhew and Winkelman making it 6-4.

Tomaschik pitched the final four innings to earn the victory. Tomaschik scattered four hits, walked two and fanned four to get the win. She worked out a two-out jam in the seventh that saw the tying run come to the plate getting a called third strike to end the game.

Parker finished 2-4 with two RBI, while Mayhew was 2-4 with two runs scored and Carcasses 2-3 with a run scored.

Bloomsburg, 5-1, faces thee University of Sioux Falls and Cedarville on Monday starting at 9 a.m.
